In this study, gamma ray transmission method have been used to determine the total porosity in four samples: pure Alumina  ( Al₂O₃   ),  Al₂O₃ + (0.2wt%)MgO ,  Al₂O₃ + (0.6wt% )Y₂O₃  and Al₂O₃+ (8wt% ) ZrO₂ .

      The experimental setup for the gamma ray transmission consist of ¹³⁷Cs gamma source ( 662 KeV  ), a  NaI (Tl) scintillation detector measured the attenuation of strongly collimated  gamma beam through alumina samples.

Medicines comprising fosfomycin are prescribed for urinary tract infections. These drugs are available for oral use as tromethamine and calcium, while fosfomycin-sodium and disodium are given for intravenous (IV) and intramuscular (IM). Many quantitative analytical methods have been reported to estimate Fosfomycin in blood, urine, plasma, serum, and pharmaceutical dosage formulations. Some techniques were spectrophotometric, mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, and electrochemical methods. Here we perform a rapid narrative review that discusses and comparison between them of various analytical methods for the determination of Fosfomycin-containing drugs.

     The wide use of lead compounds as an engine anti-knock reflects conversely on all components of the ecosystem. This study aimed to detect the concentration of lead in various types of gasoline and gas oil that are highly consumed by vehicles. Eight fuel samples were collected from different feul stations distributed in different districts of Baghdad city. These included two gas oil (diesel) stations and three stations for each type of gasoline (leaded and unleaded). Lead was extracted by the modified chemical method, and then flame atomic absorption technique was applied to assay its concentrations.          This study includes analytical methods for the determination of the drug amoxicillin trihydrate (Amox.) in some pharmaceutical preparations using Cobalt ion (Co(II)) as complexing metal. The best conditions for complexation were: the reaction time was 20 minutes, pH=1.5 and the best temperature of reaction was 70 ËšC. Benzyl alcohol was the best solvent for extraction the complex.

Ceramic body as a refractory was prepared by using shamoot, which is prepared by firing  kaolin Duekhla at 1450 ºC at 2hr ,Flint clay ,Asbestos fiber(Anthophylite type)and Sodium silicts,Phosphoric acid solution as a binder . After miling, siving ,and mixing ,samples were formed, followed that drying, firing at different temperature.     Phyical ,thermal and mechanical  properties were measured .The conclusion behind the results that the refractory prepared from; 37.5% shamoote,25% Asbestos ,37.5% Flint clay and Phosforic acid solution fired at 1300 ºC  gave a refractory material having  melting temperature ;1490 ºC, thermal shock resistance 7 cycle, thermal conductivity 2.1w/m2.K, apperan

The local asphalt concrete fracture properties represented by the fracture energy, J-integral, and stress intensity factor are calculated from the results of the three point bending beam test made for pre notches beams specimens with deformation rate of 1.27 ^mm/min. The results revealed that the stress intensity factor has increased by more than 40% when decreasing the testing temperature 10˚C and increasing the notch depth from 5 to 30^mm. The change of asphalt type and content have a limited effect of less than 6%.
