In the present work, an image compression method have been modified by combining The Absolute Moment Block Truncation Coding algorithm (AMBTC) with a VQ-based image coding. At the beginning, the AMBTC algorithm based on Weber's law condition have been used to distinguish low and high detail blocks in the original image. The coder will transmit only mean of low detailed block (i.e. uniform blocks like background) on the channel instate of transmit the two reconstruction mean values and bit map for this block. While the high detail block is coded by the proposed fast encoding algorithm for vector quantized method based on the Triangular Inequality Theorem (TIE), then the coder will transmit the two reconstruction mean values (i.e. H&L) with an index of codeword instead of bit map (binary block) after designation binary codebook. In other word, the proposed method enables a sensible decrease of the bit rate with fast in codebook searching, little deterioration of performance, edge preservation, good decoded image quality with greatly decreasing the matching searching time, consequently simplify the computational complexity.
In this study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are synthesized using different chemical routes to obtain different sizes and shapes of nanoparticles by colloid chemistry with using stabilizing and reducing agent, which make them interesting for variety of physical applications. The morphology and structure of the synthesized AgNPs were characterized by UV-VIS spectra, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Zeta potential to demonstrate that different sizes and shapes can by synthesized by different reductants in the presence of various stabilizing agents.
The research aims to identify the importance of applying resource consumption accounting in the Iraqi industrial environment in general, and oil in particular, and its role in reducing the costs of activities by excluding and isolating idle energy costs, as the research problem represents that the company faces deficiencies and challenges in applying strategic cost tools. The research was based on The hypothesis that the application of resource consumption accounting will lead to the provision of appropriate information for the company through the allocation of costs properly by resource consumption accounting and then reduce the costs of activities. To prove the hypothesis of the research, the Light Derivatives Authority - Al-Dora Refin

On May 31, 2003, image acquisition via the ETM+ was greatly impacted by the failure of the system’s Scan Line Corrector (SLC). Consequently, the ETM+ has lost approximately 22% of the data due to the increased scan gap. In this work, several gap-filling methods will be proposed to restore the ETM+ image malfunctions. Some of the proposed methods will be carried by estimating the missed pixel’s values from the same image pixel’s neighborhood, while others will utilize the pixel values extracted from different temporal scene acquired in different time. Mean average filter, median filter, midpoint filter, and several int

The distinctive feature of the method is that it can be used to find the analytic solution without transformation of boundary value problems. To test the efficiency of the method presented two examples are solved by proposed method.
The aerodynamic characteristics of the forward swept wing aircraft have been studied theoretically and an experimentally investigation for the wake field generated by this configuration have been carried out. Low order panel method with the Dirichlet boundary condition have been used to solve the case of the steady, inviscid and compressible flow. Two different panel method techniques have been employed: the source-doublet and the doublet method. The thickness for the various components was considered in the study. Prandtl-Glauert similarity rule has been used to account for the compressibility effects. Experimentally, a model was manufactured from wood with body length (290mm) and main wing span was (204mm). The primary objective of th

The quality of weld is a very important working aspect for the manufacturing and construction industries, the challenges are made optimal process environment. Design of experimental using Taguchi method (L9 orthogonal array (OA)) considering three SAW parameter are (welding current, arc voltage and welding speed) and three levels (300-350-400 Amp. , 32-36-40 V and 26-28-30 cm/min). The study was done on SAW process parameters on the mechanical properties of steel type comply with (ASTM A516 grade 70). Signal to Noise ratio (S/N) was computed to calculate the optimal process parameters. Percentage contributions of each parameter are validated by using an

Laplace Adomian decomposition method is used to get the solution (volume of the tumor) as a function of time .Stability analysis is applied. For lung cancer the tumor will continue in growing in spite of the treatment.
Some modified techniques are used in this article in order to have approximate solutions for systems of Volterra integro-differential equations. The suggested techniques are the so called Laplace-Adomian decomposition method and Laplace iterative method. The proposed methods are robust and accurate as can be seen from the given illustrative examples and from the comparison that are made with the exact solution.
The aim of this paper is to propose a reliable iterative method for resolving many types of Volterra - Fredholm Integro - Differential Equations of the second kind with initial conditions. The series solutions of the problems under consideration are obtained by means of the iterative method. Four various problems are resolved with high accuracy to make evident the enforcement of the iterative method on such type of integro differential equations. Results were compared with the exact solution which exhibits that this technique was compatible with the right solutions, simple, effective and easy for solving such problems. To evaluate the results in an iterative process the MATLAB is used as a math program for the calculations.
Preparation of nanoparticles is one of the important ways to increase the biological effectiveness of materials. There are several methods to prepare the polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) nanoparticles. Here, a new method is used based on exposing PHB to ultrasound waves under variable pH conditions. In the present study, PHB was added to distilled water and pH was adjusted to 4 by HCl (1 N). The suspension was exposed to ultrasound waves at 4500 kh for 25 seconds. Then, pH was readjusted to 10 by NaoH (1N) and the mixture was incubated for 2 h at 21 oC. Finally, the pH was adjusted to 7 by HCl (1 N) and the mixture was incubated at 21 oC for 18 h. The characterization of the prepared na
