Wasit Governorate is characterized by industrials activities such as groups of asphalts and bricks factories, oil fields and thermal power plant, in addition to the agricultural activity that is widely separated, which leads to pollution of the surface soils with heavy metals. concentrations under 3 bar pressure has been investigated using weight loss method . The carbon steel specimens were
immersed in water containing (100,400,700,1000PPM) of NaCl solution and under temperature was increased from
(90-120ºC) under pressures of 3 bar. The results of this investigation indicated that corrosion rate increased with NaCl

Aqueous and ethanolic extracts of different parts (seeds, leaves, bark) of neem plant (Azadirachta Indica) were screened for antibacterial activaties against five species of bacteria (Staphylococcus aurous, Staphylococcus epidermises, Acinetobacter baumanni, Psedommonas aeruginosa, and Escherishia coli).
