Smart Routing Protocol Algorithm Using Fuzzy Artificial Neural Network OSPF

The OSPF cost is proportionally indicated the transmitting packet overhead through a certain interface and inversely proportional to the interface bandwidth. Thus, this cost may minimized by direct packet transmitting to the other side via various probable paths simultaneously. Logically, the minimum weight path is the optimum path. This paper propose a novel Fuzzy Artificial Neural Network to create Smart Routing Protocol Algorithm. Consequently, the Fuzzy Artificial Neural Network Overlap has been reduced from (0.883 ms) to (0.602 ms) at fuzzy membership 1.5 to 4.5 respectively. This indicated the transmission time is two-fold faster than the standard overlapping time (1.3 ms).

Optimal Robot Path Planning using Enhanced Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm

The aim of robot path planning is to search for a safe path for the mobile robot. Even though there exist various path planning algorithms for mobile robots, yet only a few are optimized. The optimized algorithms include the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) that finds the optimal path with respect to avoiding the obstacles while ensuring safety. In PSO, the sub-optimal solution takes place frequently while finding a solution to the optimal path problem. This paper proposes an enhanced PSO algorithm that contains an improved particle velocity. Experimental results show that the proposed Enhanced PSO performs better than the standard PSO in terms of solution’s quality. Hence, a mobile robot implementing the proposed algorithm opera

Scale-Invariant Feature Transform Algorithm with Fast Approximate Nearest Neighbor

There is a great deal of systems dealing with image processing that are being used and developed on a daily basis. Those systems need the deployment of some basic operations such as detecting the Regions of Interest and matching those regions, in addition to the description of their properties. Those operations play a significant role in decision making which is necessary for the next operations depending on the assigned task. In order to accomplish those tasks, various algorithms have been introduced throughout years. One of the most popular algorithms is the Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT). The efficiency of this algorithm is its performance in the process of detection and property description, and that is due to the fact that

Enhanced Chain-Cluster Based Mixed Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Energy efficiency is a significant aspect in designing robust routing protocols for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). A reliable routing protocol has to be energy efficient and adaptive to the network size. To achieve high energy conservation and data aggregation, there are two major techniques, clusters and chains. In clustering technique, sensor networks are often divided into non-overlapping subsets called clusters. In chain technique, sensor nodes will be connected with the closest two neighbors, starting with the farthest node from the base station till the closest node to the base station. Each technique has its own advantages and disadvantages which motivate some researchers to come up with a hybrid routing algorit

Improved Firefly Algorithm with Variable Neighborhood Search for Data Clustering

Among the metaheuristic algorithms, population-based algorithms are an explorative search algorithm superior to the local search algorithm in terms of exploring the search space to find globally optimal solutions. However, the primary downside of such algorithms is their low exploitative capability, which prevents the expansion of the search space neighborhood for more optimal solutions. The firefly algorithm (FA) is a population-based algorithm that has been widely used in clustering problems. However, FA is limited in terms of its premature convergence when no neighborhood search strategies are employed to improve the quality of clustering solutions in the neighborhood region and exploring the global regions in the search space. On the

Intelligent TRIPLE DES with N Round Based on Genetic Algorithm

This work presents an approach for the applying Triple DES (TRIPLE DES) based on using genetic algorithm by adding intelligent feature for TRIPLE DES with N round for genetic algorithm. Encapsulated cipher file with special program which send an acknowledgment to a sender to know who decipher or broken to crash it , Thus it is considered as the initial step to improve privacy. The outcome for proposed system gives a good indication that it is a promising system compared with other type of cipher system.

Community Detection in Modular Complex Networks Using an Improved Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

Community detection is an important and interesting topic for better understanding and analyzing complex network structures. Detecting hidden partitions in complex networks is proven to be an NP-hard problem that may not be accurately resolved using traditional methods. So it is solved using evolutionary computation methods and modeled in the literature as an optimization problem. In recent years, many researchers have directed their research efforts toward addressing the problem of community structure detection by developing different algorithms and making use of single-objective optimization methods. In this study, we have continued that research line by improving the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm using a

Natural Language Processing For Requirement Elicitation In University Using Kmeans And Meanshift Algorithm

Data Driven Requirement Engineering (DDRE) represents a vision for a shift from the static traditional methods of doing requirements engineering to dynamic data-driven user-centered methods. Data available and the increasingly complex requirements of system software whose functions can adapt to changing needs to gain the trust of its users, an approach is needed in a continuous software engineering process. This need drives the emergence of new challenges in the discipline of requirements engineering to meet the required changes. The problem in this study was the method in data discrepancies which resulted in the needs elicitation process being hampered and in the end software development found discrepancies and could not meet the need

One Algorithm to Cipher Messages in Columnar and Fixed Period-d Transposition Cipher

One of ciphering systems depends on transposition of letters in plain text to generate cipher text. The programming of transposition depends mainly on 2-dimension matrix in either methods but the difference is in columnar .We print columns in the matrix according to their numbers in key but in the fixed, the cipher text will be obtained by printing matrix by rows.

Dynamic Preemption Algorithm to Assign Priority for Emergency Vehicle in Crossing Signalised Intersection
Abstract
Emergency vehicle (EV) services save lives around the world. The necessary fast response of EVs requires minimising travel time. Preempting traffic signals can enable EVs to reach the desired location quickly. Most of the current research tries to decrease EV delays but neglects the resulting negative impacts of the preemption on other vehicles in the side roads. This paper proposes a dynamic preemption algorithm to control the traffic signal by adjusting some cycles to balance between the two critical goals: minimal delay for EVs with no stop, and a small additional delay to the vehicles on the side roads. This method is applicable to preempt traffic lights for EVs through an Intelli
... Show More
