A polycrystalline PbxS1-x alloys with various Pb content ( 0.54 and 0.55) has been prepared successfully. The structure and composition of alloys are determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) respectively. The X-ray diffraction results shows that the structure is polycrystalline with cubic structure, and there are strong peaks at the direction (200) and (111), the grain size varies between 20 and 82 nm. From AAS and XRF result, the concentrations of Pb content for these alloys were determined. The results show high accuracy and very close to the theoretical values. A photoconductive detector as a bulk has been fabricated by taking pieces of prepared alloys and polished chemically, etching, and annealing at special condition. photoconductive properties of these detectors were measured

Four Se70Ge20Sb10 alloy samples were prepared using the melt quenching technique. To improve the energy states of the mobility gap, the samples were exposed to gamma radiation from 60Co source at various doses of 600, 1200, 1500, and 2000 Gy. The electrical characteristics were examined both before and after irradiation. The conductivity analysis revealed that all of our samples were impacted by gamma radiation. In order to evaluate the effect of seed size, plant growth regulators and some chemical materials on seed vigour and seedling growth of rice (Oryza sativa L.) an experiment was conducted in 2015 at Laboratories of Agriculture and Marshes College, University of Thi-Qar.
