Based on the streamer growth model, the streamer discharge propagation was simulated in aid of finite element technique. That was done within two non- mixed dielectric liquids (Normal-Hexane and Acetone) located between two electrodes in pin - plane configuration. The output results show that, the path of the streamer was affected by the interface between the two liquids; the streamer path crosses this interface under some conditions such as the permittivity of the liquids and the distance between this interface and the tip of the pin. Under other conditions, the streamer path grows along the interface. The results were assisted by the development of the potential and the electric field distributions with the growth of the streamer propagation within the configuration
This study was conducted to examine the discharge capacity of the reach of the Tigris River between Kut and Amarah Barrages of 250km in length. The examination includes simulation the current capacity of the reach by using HEC-RAS model. 247cross sections surveyed in 2012 were used in the simulation. The model was calibrated using observed discharges of 533, 800, 1025 and 3000m3/s discharged at Kut Barrage during 2013, 1995, 1995 and 1988, respectively, and its related water level at three gauge stations located along the reach. Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) samples were nitrided in low pressure (1.3, 3 mbar) dc-glow discharge plasmas of nitrogen. The treating time was 5, 10 and 15 hour and the temperatures range of the samples during the nitriding process was close to 800oC. The obtained microstructures of the nitride layers were studied by x-ray diffraction and optical microscopy.
