A prepared PMMA/Anthracene film of thickness 70μm was irradiated under reduced pressure ~10-3 to 60Coγ-ray dose of (0.1mrad-10krad) range. The optical properties of the irradiated films were evaluated spectrophotometrically. The absorption spectrum showed induced absorption changes in the 200-400nm range. At 359nm, where there is a decrease in radiation-induced absorption, the optical density as a function of absorbed dose is linear from 10mrad-10Krad.It can therefore, be used as radiation dosimeter for gamma ray in the range 10mrd-10krad

Fe3O4:Ce thin films were deposited on glass and Si substrates by Pulse Laser Deposition Technique (PLD). Polycrystalline nature of the cubic structure with the preferred orientation of (311) are proved by X-ray diffraction. The nano size of the prepared films are revealed by SEM measurement. This study carried out in animal field in the Department of animal production /Faculty of Agriculture /University of Baghdad, Al Gadria Campus. 80 Japanese quail divided into four parameters used in this study. These quails are treated with boron (B) in the diets (boric acid 16% B) with concentration 0, 50, 75, 100 mg /kg. diets for 120 hours. the following characteristics are examined: changes in the rate of body weight (BL), concentrate of hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (PCV%), and the ratio of heterophile to Lymphocyte (H/L ratio).
