Adaptive inter frame compression using image segmented technique
...Show More Authors

The computer vision branch of the artificial intelligence field is concerned with developing algorithms for analyzing video image content. Extracting edge information, which is the essential process in most pictorial pattern recognition problems. A new method of edge detection technique has been introduces in this research, for detecting boundaries.

Selection of typical lossy techniques for encoding edge video images are also discussed in this research. The concentration is devoted to discuss the Block-Truncation coding technique and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coding technique. In order to reduce the volume of pictorial data which one may need to store or transmit, the research modifies a method for video image data compression based on the two-component code; in this coding technique, the video image is partitioned into regions of slowly varying intensity. The contours separating the regions are coded by DCT, while the rest image regions are coded by Block-Truncation Coding. this hybrid coding technique called segmented image coding (SIC). Also in this paper A modify of the four step search for motion Estimation technique was produce. for searching scheme has been introduced which is contributed in decreasing  the motion estimation  searching time of the successive inter frames.

Highly-Performed Fuzzily-logicized Edge Detecting Algorithm for Noisy Handwritings
...Show More Authors

The main targets for using the edge detection techniques in image processing are to reduce the number of features and find the edge of image based-contents. In this paper, comparisons have been demonstrated between classical methods (Canny, Sobel, Roberts, and Prewitt) and Fuzzy Logic Technique to detect the edges of different samples of image's contents and patterns. These methods are tested to detect edges of images that are corrupted with different types of noise such as (Gaussian, and Salt and pepper). The performance indices are mean square error and peak signal to noise ratio (MSE and PSNR). Finally, experimental results show that the proposed Fuzzy rules and membership function provide better results for both noisy and noise-free

"Comparison of Approximate Estimation Methods for Logistics Distribution Teachers"
...Show More Authors

The goal beyond this Research is to review methods that used to estimate Logistic distribution parameters. An exact estimators method which is the Moment method, compared with other approximate estimators obtained essentially from White approach such as: OLS, Ridge, and Adjusted Ridge as a suggested one to be applied with this distribution. The Results of all those methods are based on Simulation experiment, with different models and variety of  sample sizes. The comparison had been made with respect to two criteria: Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE).

Depth Estimation of Vertical Dyke by Applying a Simple Equation
...Show More Authors

A new procedure of depth estimation to the apex of dyke-like sources from
magnetic data has been achieved through the application of a derived equation. The
procedure consists of applying a simple filtering technique to the total magnetic
intensity data profiles resulting from dyke-like bodies, having various depths, widths
and inclination angles. A background trending line is drawn for the filtered profile
and the output profile is considered for further calculations.
Two straight lines are drawn along the maximum slopes of the filtered profile
flanks. Then, the horizontal distances between the two lines at various amplitude
levels are measured and plotted against the amplitudes and the resulted relation is a

Weibull Parameters and Wind Power Assessment for Three Locations in Iraq
...Show More Authors

In this research, we built a program to assess Weibull parameters and wind power of three separate locations in Iraq: Baghdad, Basrah and Dhi-qar for two years 2009 and 2010, after collecting and setting the data available from the website "Weather Under Ground" for each of the stations Baghdad, Basrah and Dhi-qar. Weibull parameters (shape parameter and scale parameter) were estimated using maximum likelihood estimation method (MLE) and least squares method (LSM). Also, the annual wind speed frequencies were calculated noting speed most readily available through the above two years. Then, we plotted Weibull distribution function and calculate the most significant quantities represented by mean wind speed, standard deviation of the value

The Theoretical Solving of Intersection Point of the Horizontal and Vertical Gravity Gradients in Order to Estimate the Depth of Causative Source of Gravity Anomaly
...Show More Authors

The depth of causative source of gravity is one of the most important parameter
of gravity investigation. Present study introduces the theoretical solve of the
intersection point of the horizontal and vertical gradients of gravity anomaly. Two
constants are obtained to estimate the depth of causative source of gravity anomaly,
first one is 1.7807 for spherical body and the second is 2.4142 for the horizontal
cylinder body. These constants are tested for estimating the depth of three actual
cases and good results are obtained. It is believed that the constants derived on
theoretical bases are better than those obtained by empirical experimental studies.

The State of the Main Basement Features of the Western Desert of Iraq, A New Look
...Show More Authors

The reduction to pole of the aeromagnetic map of the western desert of Iraq has been used to outline the main basement structural features. Three selected magnetic anomalies are used to determine the depths of their magnetic sources. The estimated depths are obtained by using slope half slope method and have been corrected through the application of a published nomogram. These depths are compared with previous published depth values which provide a new look at the basement of the western desert in addition to the thickness map of the Paleozoic formations. The results shed light on the important of the great depths of the basement structures and in turn the sedimentary cover to be considered for future hydrocarbon exploration

Improvement of the Accuracy of the Perturbed Orbital Elements for LEO Satellite by Improving 4th Order Runge–Kutta’s Method
...Show More Authors

Background/objectives: To study the motion equation under all perturbations effect for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite. Predicting a satellite’s orbit is an important part of mission exploration. Methodology: Using 4th order Runge–Kutta’s method this equation was integrated numerically. In this study, the accurate perturbed value of orbital elements was calculated by using sub-steps number m during one revolution, also different step numbers nnn during 400 revolutions. The predication algorithm was applied and orbital elements changing were analyzed. The satellite in LEO influences by drag more than other perturbations regardless nnn through semi-major axis and eccentricity reducing. Findings and novelty/improvement: The results demo

Mixed Transforms Generated by Tensor Product and Applied in Data Processing
...Show More Authors

Finding orthogonal matrices in different sizes is very complex and important because it can be used in different applications like image processing and communications (eg CDMA and OFDM). In this paper we introduce a new method to find orthogonal matrices by using tensor products between two or more orthogonal matrices of real and imaginary numbers with applying it in images and communication signals processing. The output matrices will be orthogonal matrices too and the processing by our new method is very easy compared to other classical methods those use basic proofs. The results are normal and acceptable in communication signals and images but it needs more research works.

Steganography and Cryptography Techniques Based Secure Data Transferring Through Public Network Channel
...Show More Authors

Attacking a transferred data over a network is frequently happened millions time a day. To address this problem, a secure scheme is proposed which is securing a transferred data over a network. The proposed scheme uses two techniques to guarantee a secure transferring for a message. The message is encrypted as a first step, and then it is hided in a video cover.  The proposed encrypting technique is RC4 stream cipher algorithm in order to increase the message's confidentiality, as well as improving the least significant bit embedding algorithm (LSB) by adding an additional layer of security. The improvement of the LSB method comes by replacing the adopted sequential selection by a random selection manner of the frames and the pixels wit
