The present study aimed to identify the availability of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards in the content of mathematics textbooks at the basic education stage in the Sultanate of Oman. The research adopted the qualitative approach by using personal interviews with a sample of (45) private school owners and managers in Oman.
