An accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of cefotaxime (CEF) in pure and pharmaceutical samples. The suggested method depended on the coupling reaction between diazotized cefotaxime and 3,5-dimethyl phenol (3,5-DMPH) in basic medium to form light orange, water soluble dye, that is stable and has a maximum absorbance at 497nm. The removal of methyl green from waste water using bamboo was studied in batch and continuous system. In batch system equilibrium time and adsorption isotherm was studied at different concentrations (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 ppm) and 50 mg weight of adsorbent.

Congenital toxoplasmosis (CT) and congenital rubella (CR) infections are well-known causes potentially leading to devastating consequences. This report aims to address the prevalence of each of these infections among suspected infants in a pediatric hospital in Baghdad.
