Effect of Ag nanoparticles on R6G laser dye hosted by PMMA polymerized by plasma jet
...Show More Authors

This work aim to prepare Ag/R6G/PMMA nanocomposite thin
films by In-situ plasma polymerization and study the changes in the
optical properties of fluorophore due to the presence of Ag
nanoparticles structures in the vicinity of the R6G laser dye. The
concentrations of R6G dye/MMA used are: 10-4M solutions were
prepared by dissolving the required quantity of the R6G dye in
MMAMonomer. Then Silver nanoparticles with 50 average particles
size were mixed with MMAmonomer with concentration of 0.3, 0.5,
0.7wt% to get R6G silver/MMA in liquid phase. The films were
deposited on glass substrates by dielectric barrier discharge plasma
jet. The Ag/R6G/PMMA nanocomposite thin films were
characterization by UV-Visible absorption spectra by using a double
beam UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer and fluorescence
Spectrophotometer. The thin films surface morphological analysis is
carried out by employing an AFM and SEM. the structure analysis
are achieved by X-ray diffraction. The thickness of the films was
measured by optical interferometric method. AFM analysis shows
that the surface roughness of plasma polymerized pure PMMA thin
films was 2.7 nm and for (10-4 R6G + 0.7wt% Ag)Ag/R6G/PMMA
thin films was 4.16 nm. The SEM images were indicates that Ag
nanoparticles (NPs) disperse in the PMMA matrix with uniform
distribution and formed mostly spherical NPs and slightly
agglomerate. Also the silver nanoparticles with 0.7wt%
concentration enhances the absorption process by 2.3 times and the
fluorescence by 1.7 times. it can be conclude, that the addition of low
concentrations of silver nanoparticles to the PMMA/ R6G matrix was
changing the optical properties of the prepared nanocomposite thin
films.

Aquatic Oligochaetes of Iraq's Southern Marshes
...Show More Authors

Aquatic Oligochaetes community in the Iraqi southern marshes, Al- Hawiezah, Al-Chibayish and Al-Hammar, have been studied for the period from July 2006 to June 2007. Two sites within each marsh, in addition to a reference site located at Shatt Al-Garma, have been chosen for sample collection using Ekman dredge. The results revealed that the highest average annual density was 16800 individual / m2 recorded in Al-Hawiezah marsh, while in Al-Chibayish and al-Hammar marsh the density did not exceed 5111 individual/m2. In contrast, the density of Oligochaetes recorded in Shatt Al-Garma was about 10500 individual / m2. The highest monthly density was recorded in April 2007.The highest local percentage occurrence was 96% recorded in Al-Hawiezah ma

Enhance Similarity Measure of Ontologys' Concepts
...Show More Authors

The field of identification of similarity was considered a subject of research strongly recommended in the areas of semantic web, artificial intelligence and linguistic literature. In this paper a new similarity measure is proposed based on the Wu and Palmer measure. This measure is applied on the domain of the pedagogical ontology. Results obtained showed that the new measure gives better relevance of the similarity values compared to the approach of Wu and Palmer and it appears that the proposed measure is advantageous because obtained results showed that it is faster and capable of obtaining results to concepts not located in the same path.

The Organizational Values of Kindergarten Teachers
...Show More Authors

The current study aims to identify the organizational values of kindergarten teachers as well as to identify the difference in the organizational values of kindergarten teachers in term of years of service, to do this; the researcher designed a scale to measure the organizational values. The scale was applied on a sample of (400) kindergarten teachers. The resesults revealed that kindergarten teachers have a high level of organizational values within the classroom. The result of the second objective showed significant differences among the organizational values (political,

The power of advertising is immense. Producers of commercial goods and services routinely pour vast sums into promoting their wares through the advertising media, knowing  that a successful campaign can win them vital market share , and that failure to advertise effectively can have devastating results . The function of advertising is promotional ; to draw our  attention. In order  to achieve this function it must reach its target  audience , then capture that audience with a message that is both attractive and memorable.

From a linguistic point of view, the language of advertising must be informative, instructive , distinctive and persuasive . It must employ&nb

Volumetric chemical adsorption was done in a volumetric apparatus using hydrogen gas at room temperature on eleven platinum catalyst, commercial catalysts (RG-412,RG-402 ,RG-432, RG-451, RG-482, and PS-10) and prepared platinum catalysts with 0.1, 0.2 , 0.45 , and 0.55% by weight of Pt supported with Y-alumina. The results show that the metal crystallite area increases with increasing platinum content. The dispersion and particle size of metal crystallite located between 48.2-96.1% and 3.85-12.72 nm, respectively. For bimetallic catalysts, the hydrogen intake decrease in the following order : Re < Sn < Ir.
