CO2 Laser (10600nm) is the recent method in the management of challenging skin scar resulting from trauma, burn and surgical wound. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy & safety of fractional CO2 laser (10600nm) in treatment of skin scar. Materials and Methods:Twenty patients with different types of scars treated with fractional CO2 (10600nm) laser, (10 patients) were given additional intralesional Triamcinolone. Results: All of the twenty patients included in this study showed some sort of improvements in scar texture, height and pliability and all of the ten patients who received intralesional Triamcinolone after laser show complete satisfaction. Conclusion:Fractional CO2 (10600nm) laser can be used as alternative, effective, safe and less side effects method to other conventional method in treatment of scar specially when combined with intralesional Triamcinolone.
spider veins are clusters of Ectatic venules & are common finding on the lower limbs generally believed to be caused by multiple factors, including genetic predisposition, hormonal factors, gravity, occupation, pregnancy, becoming increasingly apparent with age, and trauma. Therapeutic options include sclerotherapy, surgical procedures, and treatment with different laser systems.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of long pulsed (Nd:YAG) laser emitting at 1064nm in the treatment of spider veins.
Patients, Materials and Methods: This prospective study was done in the laser medicine research clinics of the Institute of las

surface of the tissue (e.g. the skin) or scattered inside the tissue or absorbed .The laser light will be
absorbed by water, hemoglobin and melanin. Absorption is also highly dependent on wave-length of
laser radiation. The absorbed light is converted into kinetic energy leading to laser effect that when
appropriately applied can produce reaction ranging from incision, vaporization to coagulation. Aim of

Hemorrhoids are one of the most common surgical conditions. The hemorrhoid may cause symptoms that are: bleeding, pain, prolapse, itching, spoilage of feces, and psychologic discomfort. There are many methods for treatment of hemorrhoid like, medical therapy, rubber band ligation, electerocoagulation, stapled hemorrhoidpexy, photocoagulation, sclerothereapy, doppler guided artery ligation, Cryosurgery, and surgery. All methods for treatment of hemorrhoids have advantages, disadvantages, and limitations. Conventional haemorrhoidectomy was the traditional operation for the treatment of hemorrhoids. But recently other modalities of treatment had been used as an alternative operations including CO2 laser haemorrhoidectomy. This work aims to

The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of fractional CO2 laser system for reducing periorbital rhytids.
Materials and Methods: twenty seven subjects with mild periocular wrinkles, and photoaged skin of the face were prospectively treated two to three times (according to clinical response) in the periorbital area with a fractional CO2 laser device equipped with a scanning hand piece. Improvements in eyelid wrinkles was evaluated clinically and photographically. Subjects also scored satisfaction and

studied statistically. However, the prognostic value remains
conflicting. Thirty mice were used in this study which infected
were with mammary gland carcinoma. The tumor size of the animals
under study were measured before and after laser irradiation by using
a vernier and compared these results were with that of non irradiated
animals with laser (control group)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of low level laser
therapy (LLLT) on increasing the response of immune system by
stimulating the lymph node action to decrease the cancer cell activity
and then decreasing the tumor size of an infected mice.

This paper presents the results of investigating the vibrational characteristics of oblate dish with and without framed structure . A finite element method, was applied to the dynamic analysis of oblate spheroidal shell. Different types of elements were considered in one dimension and two dimensions. It was found that the natural frequencies of oblate shells had two types of behavior against increasing the shell thickness and eccentricity, which are the membrane mode and bending mode –Since – the membrane modes natural frequencies tend to increase with the increasing the eccentricity of oblate, while the bending modes natural frequencies decrease with the increasing the eccentricity till reach the optimum eccentricity.

Background: Pyogenic granuloma is a hyperplastic benign tumor. The most common intra-oral site is marginal gingiva. It is often occurred in the second decade of life, it has a strong tendency to recur after simple excision.
The aim of study: to evaluate the therapeutic advantages of diode laser (810-980 nm) in intraoral Pyogenic granuloma management.
Materials and method: A total of 28 patients (14 men and 14 females) were enrolled in this study and had their pyogenic granuloma surgically removed using a diode laser. All of the patients were given local anesthetic and went through the identical surgical procedure (cartridge containing 1 percent lidocaine with epinephrine 1:

While an output energy of 6mJ and pulse duration of 100 ns in absence of pre-ionization were obtained. The system was operated with Ernest profile main-discharge electrodes. Dependencies of supply voltage and output laser energy on the pressure inside laser cavity were investigated as well as dependencies of supply voltage and output energy on the main capacitor(8CO2 : 8N2 : 82He :2CO). Efficiency of was calculated to be 4.4%.
The present work was done in an attempt to build systematic procedures for treating warts by 810 nm diode laser regarding dose parameters, application parameters and laser safety. The study was done in Al- Kindy Teaching Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq during the period from 1st October 2003 till 1st April 2004. Fifteen patients completed the treatment and they were followed for the period of 3 months. Recalcitrant and extensive warts were selected for the study. Patients were randomly divided into 3 groups to be treated by different laser powers 9, 12 and 15 W, power density of 286 W/cm2, 381W/cm2, 477 W/cm2 pulse duration of 0.2 s, interval of 0.2 s and repeated pulses were used. The mode of application was either circular or radial. Pain oc

Background Mastalgia is described as diffused or itching pain of the breast. Usually, active movement of heavy breast supported by weak suspensory ligaments contribute mainly to the etiology of mastalgia which is considered the most frequent complaint of women attending Al-Elwiya teaching hospital for consultation.
Objective:- The aim was to minimiged breast pain in mastalgic women By wearing the sport brassieres with or without the Use of danazol
Patient and method :- Tow hundred and fifty cyclic and non cyclic women suffering
from some degrees of mastalgia were chosen randomly from breast clinic of AL-Elwiya teaching hospital from June 2004 till August 2005. The mastaligic women were divided into 3 groups: group A
