Anal fistula is an anorectal condition with over 90% of cases being
cryptoglandular in origin and occurring after anorectal abscesses. The traditional method of
treatment of an anal fistula is by excision or de roofing the tract awaiting complete healing.. Aim:
The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of diode laser 980 nm in the treatment of low fistula in
ano. Methods: The study was performed between June 2019 to end of September 2019, at the
institute of laser for postgraduate study in Baghdad university. A cohort of ten male patients with a
provisional diagnosis of low type anal fistula were selected for this study and treated by interstitial
photothermal therapy of fistula epithelium by diode laser 980nm . They were ageing from 21-45
years. Results: The mean operative time was 18.9 minutes (range of 12-25) minutes. All patients
discharged after procedure to their home. No pain is presented by seven patients. Only three
patients reported a mild pain and occasional need for a pain killer. No patient complained of
incontinence anytime during postoperative period. The mean time for closure of the fistulae was
12.7 days(range of 7-18 days). Conclusions: The procedure described in this work indicate that it
may be possible to affect healing of a low anal fistula tract by mere photocoagulation of the tract
without excision or deroofing.
Poverty phenomenon is very substantial topic that determines the future of societies and governments and the way that they deals with education, health and economy. Sometimes poverty takes multidimensional trends through education and health. The research aims at studying multidimensional poverty in Iraq by using panelized regression methods, to analyze Big Data sets from demographical surveys collected by the Central Statistical Organization in Iraq. We choose classical penalized regression method represented by The Ridge Regression, Moreover; we choose another penalized method which is the Smooth Integration of Counting and Absolute Deviation (SICA) to analyze Big Data sets related to the different poverty forms in Iraq. Nanocrystals (NCs) exhibit many properties, such as enhancing drug solubility, dissolution, oral absorption, and high drug loading. Ondansetron hydrochloride (ONH) is an antiemetic drug that antagonizes a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor in the peripheral and central nervous system and is widely prescribed for the management of chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced vomiting and nausea, as well as for postoperative nausea. ONH exhibits approximately 60% bioavailability due to its poor solubility and first-pass metabolism in the liver. Its solubility is pH-dependent, its precipitates abov

Laboratory study was performed to compare the molluscicidal activity of leaves and stems extractsof Cucumis melo against Bulinus truncatus snail. The snail B. truncatus was exposed to a serial concentrations of leaves andstems extracts (4000ppm, 5000ppm) in this work. Different effects of the extracts to the snail B. truncatus were recorded. These effects includes death, escaping and imbalance of snail behavior. 96hr-LD50 values of leaves extracts were calculatedfor the doses 4000 and 5000ppm as (76 and 37%) respectively while for stems were (105 and 47%) respectively. We found thatthe snail

It is a trusted biometric for the identification and recognition of humans due to its consistent shape and rich texture variation. The ear presents an attractive solution since it is visible, ear images are easily captured, and the ear structure remains relatively stable over time. In this paper, a comprehensive review of prior research was conducted to establish the efficacy of utilizing ear features for individual identification through the employment of both manually-crafted features and deep-learning approaches. The objective of this model is to present the accuracy rate of person identification systems based on either manually-crafted features such as D

Cooperation sensing can improve the probabilities of detection and false alarm. A new approach of determine optimal value for these probabilities, is supposed and considered to face multi secondary users through discovering an optimal threshold value for each unique detection curve then jointly find the optimal thresholds. Until today, handwritten signature considered an important means that is used in banks and businesses to evidence identity, so there are many works tried to develop a method for recognition purpose. This paper introduced an efficient technique for offline signature recognition depending on extracting the local feature by utilizing the haar wavelet subbands and energy. Three different sets of features are utilized by partitioning the signature image into non overlapping blocks where different block sizes are used. CEDAR signature database is used as a dataset f

The mode of operation of reverse osmosis was permeate is removed and the concentrate of metals solution is recycled back to the feed vessel. Spiral-wound membrane is thin film composite membrane (TFC) was used to conduct this study on reverse osmosis. The variables studied are metals concentrations (50 – 150 ppm) and time (15 – 90 min). It was found that increasing the time results in an increase in concentration of metal in p
