Pyogenic granuloma is one of the inflammatory hyperplasia seen in the oral cavity. The
present study included 10 patients with pyogenic granuloma, involving 4 males and 6 females with 1:1.5
male to female ratio. Patient ages ranged from 5 to 85 years (mean, 30 years) and half of the lesions had
pedunculated base, with surface ulceration in 10% of cases. Treatment consisted of resection, using 810
nm diode lasers. Eight patients were anesthetized during the surgical operation by local infiltration of
anesthesia. Only three patients reported mild post-operative pain within the first 24 hours of the healing
period. During the surgical operation there was no significant bleeding so clear surgical field. There was
no bleeding postoperatively. There was mild edema appear in first 2 days after the surgery, and then it
subsided gradually. There was no infection in all the patients treated. One day following the operation
the intra oral examination showed dark-brown necrotic tissue, friable with red inflamed line around the
edges. After five days, the observation revealed that the sloughs tissue was completely changed to white
color and was easily removed by gauze. Wound healing was excellent after only one week. All the
samples were diagnosed histopathologically as pyogenic granuloma.
Aeromonas hydrophila have been isolated as a cause of a cute gastroenteritis in 23 (5.6%) of 410 patients. Other bacterial enteropathogens have been isolated from 387 patients with diarrhea, were 19 different strains. A. hydrophila occurred more commonly in children with acute diarrhea, the results showed that 18(78.26%) isolates of A. hydrophila found in children under 10 years old ,distributed to 10(43.47%) in male and 8(34.78%) in female ,and in adults with diarrhea 5 (21.73%). In the other hand, we noticed frequency of isolation was higher in male 14(60.86%) when compared with 9(39.14%) in female. This paper focus on study the variations of monthly tropospheric NO2 concentrations over three Iraqi cities Baghdad (33.3° N, 44.4° E), Basrah (30.56° N, 47.8° E) and Erbil (36.3° N, 44.06° E). Monthly NO2 retrievals from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) onboard Aura satellite during the period from October 2004 to March 2013 have been used. The results show a high monthly and annual NO2 concentrations at Baghdad than Basra and Erbil may be attribute to high densely populations and a high economic activity. The current study included bioremoval of chromium metal ions from aqueous solution by using seventeen Pseudomonas aeruginosa species isolated from different environments. The experimental results showed that isolates Pseudomonas aeruginosa have high efficiency in removal of chromium where the P. aeruginosa p.8 was the most efficient (P≥0.001) in bioremoval of chromium with a removal capacity reached 92.5 mg/L and removal index reached (96.5%). While P. aeruginosa p.4 was the least efficient (P≥0.001) in bioremoval of chromium from aqueous solutions reached 74.6 mg/L and removal index reached (79.8%). The concentrations of 238 U , 232 Th ,40k and 137Cs were measured by using gamma spectroscopy with a high- purity germanium detector. The concentrations of 238 U, 232 Th ,40k and 137Cs were found to be in a range of (21.4 - 91.13), (15.7 - 88.11) , (285.56 – 1100) and (5.1 - 27.5) Bq.kg-1 respectively. These concentrations are not hazardous to public health and the activities are within the allowed levels
