Congenital distal vaginal obstruction is usually asymptomatic in a newborn female. On rare occasions, it may present as an acute emergency with life threatening complications.This paper is reporting the rare condition of two newborn females presenting urgently with abdominal distension and acute urinary retention as a result of congenital distal vaginal Obstruction. The case history and urgent management shall be presented and both conditions shall be discussed.

This study was aimed to investigate the role of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) Iraqi strain AD2141 in apoptosis. Firstly, the virulence of AD2141 was detected in embryonated chicken eggs after 48hrs of infection. It was observed a hemorrhage in the skin of infected embryos that led to death. Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) has an unknown and complex etiology. It affects 5–10% of women in the reproductive age. Patients are known to have increased ovarian androgen production that is associated with decreased menses, hirsutism, and acne. Urinary tract stones (UTS) are a multifactorial disorder, with age and sex being known risk factors. Many PCOS patients are obese, and links between nephrolithiasis and obesity have been shown previously. Objectives: To identify the relation between PCOS and UTS considering the patients' body mass index (BMI). Methods: This is a cross-sectional study that enrolled 407 women aged 18-40 who attended the gynecology and obstetrics clinic at Al-Elwiya Maternity Teaching Hospital.

The present study was designed to indicate the influence of the feeding plate on the nutritional and general health problems of the isolated cleft palate infants. For this study fourteen infants were taken, their ages between one day to one week, refered from cosmetic surgery and palate center to cleft lip and palate rehabilitation center in institute of technical medical / Baghdad for feeding plate purpose . Four infants put them as normal group; all those infants were subjected during (6th) month to evaluate the body weight, feeding problem and the respiratory infection. According to tables and figures this study showed a gradual improvement in nutritional problem including (feeding problem, body weight) and health problem (such as respir
