The purpose of this study is to investigate the biostimulation effect of 532 nm CW laser on the metabolism of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. Cells were irradiated by 532 nm Nd:YAG laser using 0.153 W/cm2 power density at 30, 45, 60,180 and 300 seconds exposure times in their respective orders. Intrafluorescence parameters were measured by detection the autofluorescence intensity, proliferation rate and Imaging the fluorescent mitochondria using confocal laser scanning microscope. The results showed that the 30 and 45 second exposure times seem to have stimulated changes in the cells that led to increase proliferation, viability and mitochondrial activity. Autofluorescence of cells increased after 45 and 60 seconds exposure time. After 300 seconds there seems to be very noticeable decrease in proliferation, viability and autofluorescence. Confocal microscopy images showed that here is a correlation between fluorescence intensity using mitochondrial probes and proliferation rates of cells.
Introduction
Saccharomyces cerevisiae is one of the most important fungi in the history of the world. This yeast is responsible for the production of alcoholic beverages and bread and a source of protein and was used in biotechnology and genetics as a host for the genes of other organisms (Madigan, et al. 2006). Low energy laser irradiation of which output power is in the range of mW modulates various biological effects and has been shown to have positive effect on living organisms both in vitro and in vivo. However, the true effect of low energy laser on cell proliferation is sill controversial, because of conflicting reports on the effects of visible laser light on the cells in culture (Antonio, et al., 2002).
There are many evidences that the most intracellular autofluorescence
Background: Orthodontic mini-implants are increasingly used in orthodontics and the bone density is a very important factor in stabilization and success of mini-implant. The aim of this study was to observe the relationship among maximum bite force (MBF); body mass index (BMI); face width, height and type; and bone density in an attempt to predict bone density from these variables to eliminate the need for CT scan which have a highly hazard on patient. Materials and Methods: Computed tomographic (CT) images were obtained for 70 patients (24 males and 46 females) with age range 18-30 years. The maxillary and mandibular buccal cortical and cancellous bone densities were measured between 2nd premolar and 1st molar at two levels from the alveol

Using Arc-GIS program ( spatial Analyses), different maps have been prepared for the distribution of different pollutant
Abstract : A descriptive study was conducted out patient in Neuralgic Hospital and Teaching Baghdad Teaching Hospital from 1st July / 2004 through October 1st / 2004 . in order to assess with QOL for CVA patients , the study aimed to identifying the QOL domain of ( physical , psychological , level of independence , social and environment ) and it relation with some demographic characteristic which is related to those patients .A purposive sample of ( 50 ) CVA patients who selected from out patient clinic of hospitals . A development questionnaire was structured and is adopted of WHO quality of life qu

Moisture damage is one of the most significant troubles that destroy asphaltic pavement and reduces road serviceability. Recently, academics have noticed a trend to utilize fibers to enhance the efficiency of asphalt pavement. This research explores the effect of low-cost ceramic fiber, which has high tensile strength and a very high thermal insulation coefficient, on the asphalt mixture's characteristics by adding three different proportions (0.75%, 1.5%, and 2.25%). The Marshall test and the Tensile Strength Ratio Test (TSR) were utilized to describe the impact of ceramic fiber on the characteristics of Marshall and the moisture susceptibility of the hot mix asphalt mixture. The Field Emission Scanning Electron Microsc

Show MoreAlginate is one of the natural biopolymers that is widely used for drug formulations, combination of alginate with other polymers, such as gum acacia, pectin, and carrageenan can increase mechanical strength, therefore, can reduce leakage of the encapsulated active pharmaceutical ingredient from the polymer matrix. Interaction of alginate and these polymers can occur via intermolecular hydrogen bonds causing synergism, which is determined from the viscosity of polymer mixture.
Alginate was combined with gum acacia/pectin/carrageenan in different blending ratios (100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, and 0:100) with and without addition of CaCl2. The synergism effect is obtained from the design of experimental (DoE), and calculati

Its main role is to keep sensitive information safe and integrated from the sender to the receiver. The proposed system aims to secure text messages through two security principles encryption and steganography. The system produced a novel method for encryption using graph theory properties; it formed a graph from a password to generate an encryption key as a weight matrix of that graph and invested the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method for hiding the encrypted message in a colored image within a green component. Practical experiments of (perceptibility, capacity, and robustness) were calculated using similarity measures like PSNR, MSE, and
