Effect of Heterogeneity on Capillary Pressure and Relative Permeability Curves in Carbonate Reservoirs. A Case Study for Mishrif Formation in West Qurna/1 Oilfield, Iraq
...Show More Authors

The special core analysis tests were accomplished on a set of core plugs for Mishrif Formation (mA, mB1, and mB2cde/mC units) in West Qurna/1 oilfield, southern Iraq. Oil relative permeability (Kro) data and the Corey-type fit of the data as functions of the brine saturation at the core outlet face for individual samples in the water-oil imbibition process to estimate relative permeability measurements by the centrifuge method were utilized. Identical correlations for oil and water relative permeabilities were extracted by steady-state and unsteady-state methods. For the mA samples, the gas-water capillary pressure curves were within a narrow range (almost identical) indicating that mA is a homogeneous unit. Kro curves for three mB2ab plugs were practically identical, that is referring to the homogeneity in the upper portion of the unit. The mB2 unit has a more solid‐phase concentration than other units. In addition, the general trend of low residual oil saturation is related to the raising in porosity but no reliable correlation between the residual oil saturation to water drive (Sorw) and Klinkenberg-corrected permeability (Kinf). Based on the correlation between the effective oil permeability at the initial water saturation [ko(Swi)] and (Kinf/f)1/2 for the high-permeability lithofacies mB1 plugs, ko(Swi) is approximately equal to or exceeds Kinf. While ko(Swi) was below Kinf for the other samples. New good empirical equations were obtained for effective gas permeability at final water saturation versus Kinf, as well as, for Kro and Krw versus saturation for all lithofacies.

CORRELATIVE INFLUENCE OF SEEDLING AGE, COTYLEDONS AND TERMINAL BUDS ON ADVENTITIOUS ROOT FORMATION IN STEM CUTTINGS OF MUNG BEAN
...Show More Authors

Rooting response in stem cuttings of mung bean increased considerably with inresing
seedling age, due to endogenous IAA or supplied IBA. However, after the day 7- or 8-old of
seedling age. The cotyledons sheivel and drop-off spontaneously at day-8 of seedling age. So
that cotyledons excision after cuttings were made during the period between seedling
emergence (the day 4) and cotyledons dropping off (which starts at day 8 and its completion
at day 10) causes decrease in rooting at any time during cutting treatment ,in particular, at
zero time . In addition, results of this study revealed that terminal buds do not influence
significantly adventitious root formation whether IBA supplied or not. Whereas in leafless

This research tests the relationship linkage and effect between the Employees Empowerment Strategy and Organizational Innovation, The research problem is how to understand the Employees Empowerment Strategy role in the achievement Organizational Innovation in Diyala Public Company For Electrical Industrial. A questionnaire was used in data collection depending on the distribution of (32) forms to the research sample. Data were analyzed Using (SPSS)program. Using a number of statistical tools for tests the research hypothesis. The research found set of conclusions, one of the most important thinks was, that there is a linkage and impact relation between Employees Empowerment Strategy, its variables, and Organizational Innovation a

Various pathological specimens (180) were collected from patients suffering
from pseudomonas aeruginosa infections from different hospitals in Baghdad from January
to May 2011; these specimens include (Blood samples, sputum, urine and wound swabs) were

specially taken from burns and post surgical infections producing a higher concentration of 2-Acetophenone material than from other samples were tested for this material and most of
these were isolated bases on their distinctive grape- like odor of 2-Aminoacetophenone

A qualitative study of Periphytic algae attached to thesurface of river boats in the Tigris River in AlAadhamiya, Baghdad, Iraq
...Show More Authors

A seasonal study of periphytic algae attached to the surface of river boats was conducted in Tigris river in Al Aadhamiya site for the period from October 2016 to May 2017. A total of 107 taxa of periphytic algae were identified belonging to the four classes of algae. The periphytic algae community dominated by Bacillariophyceae was (60.7%) followed by Chlorophyceae (20.5%) and Cyanophyceae (17.7%) Chrysophyceae was constituted (0.9%) of the total number. During the whole period of study filamentous taxa such as Oscillatoria amphibian, Phormidium spp., Spirulinagigantean, Cladophoreglomerata and Melosira roeseana remained the dominant colonizer which may be reflect the ability of this species to grow multiplies under different environmental

Influence of working pressure and lasing energy of Al plasma in laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy
...Show More Authors

Aluminum plasma was generated by the irradiation of the target
with Nd: YAG laser operated at a wavelength of 1064 nm. The
effect of laser power density and the working pressure on spectral
lines generating by laser ablation, were detected by using optical
spectroscopy. The electron density was measured using the Stark
broadening of aluminum lines and the electron temperature by
Boltzmann plot method it is one of the methods that are used. The
electron temperature Te, electron density ne, plasma frequency
and Debye length increased with increasing the laser peak
power. The electron temperature decrease with increasing gas
pressure.

IFN-γ T/A +874 Gene Polymorphism in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus of Iraqi Children
...Show More Authors

This study included 50 blood samples collected from children with mean age 8-12 years. Thirty five blood samples were collected from children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1D) with mean age 9.4±0.34 years, and 15 blood samples collected from healthy children as a control sample with mean age 10.9±0.38 years. Immunogenetic study was done on collected blood samples. Concentrations of IFN-γ were estimated from T1D patient and control samples by using Elisa instrument. The concentration of this interferon was 1.575 pg/ml in T1D patient sample in comparison with 0.921 pg/ml in control sample. Significant differences of this interferon concentration were found between T1D patient and control samples when Mann-Whitney U test was used

Permeability Determination of Tertiary Reservoir/Ajeel Oil Field
...Show More Authors

This paper discusses the method for determining the permeability values of Tertiary Reservoir in Ajeel field (Jeribe, dhiban, Euphrates) units and this study is very important to determine the permeability values that it is needed to detect the economic value of oil in Tertiary Formation. This study based on core data from nine wells and log data from twelve wells. The wells are AJ-1, AJ-4, AJ-6, AJ-7, AJ-10, AJ-12, AJ-13, AJ-14, AJ-15, AJ-22, AJ-25, and AJ-54, but we have chosen three wells (AJ4, AJ6, and AJ10) to study in this paper. Three methods are used for this work and this study indicates that one of the best way of obtaining permeability is the Neural network method because the values of permeability obtained be

The research aims to identify the extent to which Iraqi private banks practice profit management motivated by reducing the taxable base by increasing the provision for loan losses by relying on the LLP it model, which consists of a main independent variable (net profit before tax) and independent sub-variables (bank size, total debts to total equity, loans granted to total obligations) under the name of the variables governing the banking business. (Colmgrove-Smirnov) was used to test the normal distribution of data for all banks during the period 2017-2020, and then find the correlation between the main independent variable sub and the dependent variable by means of the correlation coefficient person, and then using the multiple
