Prediction of penetration Rate and cost with Artificial Neural Network for Alhafaya Oil Field

Prediction of penetration rate (ROP) is important process in optimization of drilling due to its crucial role in lowering drilling operation costs. This process has complex nature due to too many interrelated factors that affected the rate of penetration, which make difficult predicting process. This paper shows a new technique of rate of penetration prediction by using artificial neural network technique. A three layers model composed of two hidden layers and output layer has built by using drilling parameters data extracted from mud logging and wire line log for Alhalfaya oil field. These drilling parameters includes mechanical (WOB, RPM), hydraulic (HIS), and travel transit time (DT). Five data set represented five formations gathered from five drilled wells were involved in modeling process.Approximatlly,85 % of these data were used for training the ANN models, and 15% to assess their accuracy and direction of stability. The results of the simulation showed good matching between the raw data and the predicted values of ROP by Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. In addition, a good fitness was obtained in the estimation of drilling cost from ANN method when compared to the raw data.

Heat Transfer and Hydrodynamic in Internal Jacket Airlift Bioreactor with Microbubble Technology

   Integration of laminar bubbling flow with heat transfer equations in a novel internal jacket airlift bioreactor using microbubbles technology was examined in the present study. The investigation was accomplished via Multiphysics modelling to calculate the gas holdup, velocity of liquid recirculation, mixing time and volume dead zone for hydrodynamic aspect. The temperature and internal energy were determined for heat transfer aspect.

Natural and Mixed Convection in Square Vented Enclosure Filled with Metal Foam

The left vertical wall is kept at constant temperature and the remaining walls are thermally insulated. Colour Recognizing Robot Arm Equipped with a CMOS Camera and an FPGA

In this paper a system is designed on an FPGA using a Nios II soft-core processor, to detect the colour of a specific surface and moving a robot arm accordingly. The surface being detected is bounded by a starting mark and an ending mark, to define the region of interest. The surface is also divided into sections as rows and columns and each section can have any colour. Such a system has so many uses like for example warehouses or even in stores where their storing areas can be divided to sections and each section is coloured and a robot arm collects objects from these sections according to the section’s colour also the robot arm can organize objects in sections according to the section’s colour.

E-Learning and Its Relationship with Academic Passion among Middle School Students

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the level of E-learning among middle school students, the level of academic passion among middle school students, and the correlation between e-learning and academic passion among middle school students. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher developed two questionnaires to measure the variables of the study (e-learning and study passion) among students, these two tools were applied to the research sample, which was (380) male and female students in the first and second intermediate classes. The research concluded that there is a relationship between e-learning and academic passion among students.
