In this study a polymeric composite material was prepared by hand
lay-up technique from epoxy resin as a matrix and magnesium oxide
(MgO) as a reinforcement with different weight fraction (5,10,15,
and 20)% to resin. Then the prepared samples were immersed under
normal condition in H₂So₄(1 M) solution, for periods ranging up to

This study utilized low-cost agricultural waste (molasses production waste powder) to extract copper ions from aqueous solutions. The present investigation explored a range of factors that influence the adsorption process, including temperature, pH, ionic strength, contact time, quantity of adsorbent, and particle size. Spectrophotometric analysis was used to determine the solution's absorbance both before and after the adsorption procedure. In this study the assessment radon concentration in sludge of Oil
Fields in North Oil Company (N.O.C.) of Iraq have been studied
using CR-39 solid–state nuclear track detector technique. A total of
34 samples selected from 12 oil stations in the company have been
placed in the dosimeters. The average radon concentration was found
to be 162.29 Bq/m³ which is fortunately lower than the standard
international limit. The potential alpha energy concentration and
annual effective dose have been calculated. A proportional
relationship between the annual effective dose and radon
concentration within the studied region has been certified.
