Quality Improvement of Spent Lubricating Oil

The acidity of spent lubricant was treated using sodium hydroxide solution. The effect of three variables on the treatment have been studied . These are mixing time rangingfrom 5-35 minutes, NaOH to lubricant weight ratio ranging from  0.25-1.25 and weight percentage  of NaOH ranging from  2-6 % .

The experimental design of Box-Wilson method is adopted to find a useful relationship between the three controllable variables and the lowering in the acidity of the spent lubricant. Then the effective variables and interactions are identified using the statistical analysis(F-test) of  three variable fractional design. The mathematical model is well represented  by a second order polynomial.

By the analysis of the experimental results, the best treatment conditions which achieved an acceptable acidity of the spent lubricant are 20 minutes mixing time ,  1 weight ratio of NaOH  to spent lubricant and 4.5 weight percentage  of N aOH. At these condition the acidity of the lubricant decreases from  0.62 to 0.0602 mg KOH/g oil.

Quality of Work Life and Resilience among Intensive Care Unit Nurses: A Descriptive Study

Objective: The present study aimed to determine the association of quality of life with the resilience of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods and Materials: A cross-sectional study was performed, including 105 ICU nurses from five hospitals in Iraq, using a convenience sample method. Data were gathered through a self-administered questionnaire that includes three sections: the demographics, the Brooks Quality of Nursing Work Life survey, and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale-10 (CD-RISC-10). Findings: The QWL of the ICU nurses was moderately satisfied (mean = 161.42), and the level of resilience was moderate (mean = 26). Treating Drill Cuttings Waste with Oil Contamination by Microwave Treatment then by Earthworms Technique

The Effect of Re-Use of Lossy JPEG Compression Algorithm on the Quality of Satellite Image

In this study, an analysis of re-using the JPEG lossy algorithm on the quality of satellite imagery is presented. The standard JPEG compression algorithm is adopted and applied using Irfan view program, the rang of JPEG quality that used is 50-100.Depending on the calculated satellite image quality variation, the maximum number of the re-use of the JPEG lossy algorithm adopted in this study is 50 times. The image quality degradation to the JPEG quality factor and the number of re-use of the JPEG algorithm to store the satellite image is analyzed.

Effect of Replacing Partial of Wheat Flour by Lentil Powder on Quality Properties of Laboratory Bread
