     Well log rock physics and seismic facies analysis was carried out with a view to enhancing reservoir sand characterization of Mafe Field of Niger Delta. Lithofacies were identified using suites of well logs and correlated across the block. Rock properties were estimated from wireline logs using empirical methods. The seismic reflection and gravity data were used to detect the tectonic boundaries in Kut-Hai-Fajir and surrounding areas, central Iraq. The depth maps of Dammam, Nhr Umr, and Sulaiy, formations were constructed and used to detect some boundareis in the study area. The residual gravity map and Total Horizantal derivative (THDR) also used to detected the tectonic boundaries. The study was conducted to evaluate the antifungal activity of the aqueous and
alcoholic extract and the essential oil of E. incrassata leaves toward some biological
characteristics of the water mold S. ferax. Chemical analysis of the plant leaves using HPLC
showed the content of several active compounds included 1,8-Cineole, Terpineal, Citronellal,
Phellendrene and Citiric acid.

The ability of pulverized walnut-shell to remove oil from aqueous solutions has been studied. It involves two-phase process which consists of using walnut-shell as a filtering bed for the accumulation and adsorption of oil onto its surface. Up to 96% oil removal from synthetic wastewater samples was achieved while tests results showed that 75% of oil can be removed from the actual wastewater discharged from Al- Duara refinery in the south of Baghdad.
