     Enol-Keto tautomerism in 1-[(E)-1,3-benzothiazol-2-ylazo]naphthalen-2-ol has been studied using the B3LYP functional of density functional theory (DFT) with 6-31G(d,p) basis set. Relative and absolute energies, transition state geometries (TS), dipole moments, entropies, enthalpies and Gibbs free energies, equilibrium constants (K_T) and rate of tautomerization (k_r) were calculated.      During this paper, new Schiff's base derivatives [F₁-F₅] were prepared through the reaction of dapsone drug with different substituted benzaldehyde compounds. Schiff's bases were then converted into 2,3-dihyroquinazolin-4(1H)-one derivatives [F₆-F₁₀] through the reaction with 2-amino benzoic acid in ethanol.
