This field experiment was conducted at Research Station B, Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, Jadiriyah during the fall season of 2019-2020 to evaluate the effect of cultivation dates and soil fertilization source on the growth, yield and quality of broccoli. A split plot design within the RCBD design with three replicates was applied as the Max F1 hybrid broccoli seedlings were transferred to the field at two dates 25, Sep. 2019 and 15, Oct. 2019, which were symbolized as A and B, respectively, and occupied at the main plot. After two weeks of cultivation, the soil fertilizers were applied three times during the season in 20 days between each application including Biohealth fertilizer at a rate of 1 and 2 kg per donum, symbolized as T1 , T2 and NPK nano fertilizer at a rate of 250 and 500 ml donum, symbolized as T3 and T4 , as well as the control treatment that was fertilized according to the fertilizer recommendation and symbolized as T0 . This factor was considered the most important (sub plot) and the number of plants per experimental unit reached 15 plants. The results revealed a significant effect under the combination of first cultivation date and the soil application of Biohealth fertilizer at a concentration of 1 kg dunum (AT1) on the leaves content of N and k, leaves number, leaves area, the diameter and weight of the main disc, the total yield, the total soluble solids percent (TSS) and the heads content of beta-carotene, which were recorded 3.96, 2.99%, 41.0 Leaf-1 plant, 227.44 dm2 Plant-1, 74.0 cm, 896.40 gm Plant1 , 37.35 Tons Ha-1, 11.00%, 6.95 mlg 100 gm wet weight-1, respectively, which did not significantly differ from the combination of the first cultivation date and the application of nano-NPK fertilizer at a concentration of 500 ml dunum (AT4) on leaves area, the weight of the main head, and the total yield, which were recorded 212.39 dm2 plant-1 and 884.55 gm plant-1 and 36.85 tons ha- 1, respectively compared to the second date of cultivation and the application of fertilizer recommendation (BT0), which gave 2.33, 1.68%, 34.0 leaves, 139.99 dm2 plant-1, 51.0 cm, 689.23 gm plant-1 and 28.71 tons ha-1, 8.17% and 4.57 mlg 100 gm wet weight-1, respectively.
Background: Separation and deboning of artificial teeth from denture bases present a major clinical and labortory problem which affect both the patient and the dentist. The optimal bond strength of artificial teeth with denture base reinforced with nanofillers and flexible denture bases and the effect of thermo cycling should be evaluated. This study was conducted to evaluate and compare the shear bond strength of artificial teeth (acrylic and porcelain) with denture bases reinforced by 5% Zirconium oxide nanofillers and flexible bases under the effect of different surface treatments and thermo cycling and comparing the results with conventional water bath cured denture bases. Material and methods: Two types of artificial teeth; acrylic and

The result of this research is showed that the effect of fatigue loading on the type of joint is more than the effect of tension loading on it. And the butt joint welding is better than the lap joint welding during the fatigue loaded. The experimental results of the effect of W'elding current showed that more increasing and more decreasing the value of the heat input, during the welding was found to produce mechanical brittleness on the buttjoint welding during the static and dynamic loading. A prototype of CWCT optimized by added packing was designed, manufactured and tested for cooling capacity of 9 kW. Experiments are conducted to explore the effects of various operational and conformational parameters on the thermal performance. In the test section, spray water temperature and both dry bulb temperature and relative humidity of the air measured at intermediate points of the heat exchanger and packing. Heat exchangers consist of four rows and eight columns for an inline tubes arrangement and six rows and five columns f

To see how body weight (BW) and leptin hormone (LEP) levels inbreeder blood affect fertility and hatchability. 140 Iraqi local laying chickens (120 females + 20 males) aged 28weeks were used in the study. Following the numbering of The experiment was divided into three periods, each lasting 28 days, during which the breeder's live body weight was recorded and divided into two categories(greater than 1.5 kg and less than 1.5 kg), and blood samples were collected at the end of each period todetermine the concentration of leptin hormone in the breeders' blood. For comparison between mothers'performance,

Subsurface water retention technology was applied to assess improving values of crop yield and crop water use efficiency, applying a membrane made of low-density polyethylene trough installed below the crop root zone. The goal of this paper is to assess that the retention of rainwater above the membrane can improve the crop yield and crop water use efficiency values for winter wheat. The experiment was conducted in open field, within Joeybeh Township, located in east of the Ramadi City, in Anbar Province, in winter growing season 2018-2019. Two plots T1 (with membrane trough) and T2 (without membrane) were used for the

This study was conducted in the poultry field of the department of animal production, college of agricultural engineering sciences, university of Baghdad for the period from 10/15/2021 to 11/25/2021 with the aim of showing the effect of adding different levels of dill seeds to the diet on productive and carcass traits For broiler meat. In this study, 200 unsexed broiler chicks of breed (Ross 308) were used, one day age, with a starting weight of 41.46 g. The chicks were randomly distributed to 5 treatments, and each treatment included 4 replicates, 10 birds for each replicate. The birds were fed three diets: the starter diet, the growth diet and the final diet. The experiment treatments were T1,

The study identifies the most and least suitable areas, along with intermediate areas, utilizing the ArcMap program for mapping and delineating agriculturally favorable regions. Methods: A descriptive approach was employed in this research, as an analytical approach was deemed essential for describing and analyzing data to attain scientific accuracy. Results: The research findings indicate that certain areas, namely Mosul, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Kirkuk, exhibit high suitability for olive tree cultivation. The station at Al-Rutba demonstrates moderate feasibility, while Basra, Nasiriyah, Amarah, Baghdad,

A number of scaling laws were used to create the numerical modeling according to the data obtained from 1 g shake table tests performed in the laboratory. The current study found that the behaviors of the scaled models, in general have similar trends. From numerical modeling on both the dry and saturated sands, the normalized lateral displacement, bending moment, and vertical displacement of piles with scale factors of 2 and 35 are less than those of the pile with a scale factor of 1 and the
