Prediction of ROP Zones Using Deep Learning Algorithms and Voting Classifier Technique

Abstract<p>Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) can cause blindness in premature neonates. It is diagnosed when new blood vessels form abnormally in the retina. However, people at high risk of ROP might benefit significantly from early detection and treatment. Therefore, early diagnosis of ROP is vital in averting visual impairment. However, due to a lack of medical experience in detecting this condition, many people refuse treatment; this is especially troublesome given the rising cases of ROP. To deal with this problem, we trained three transfer learning models (VGG-19, ResNet-50, and EfficientNetB5) and a convolutional neural network (CNN) to identify the zones of ROP in preterm newborns. The dataset to train th</p> ... Show More

Improving Measurement of Effectiveness of Blended Learning in Iraqi Education Using SVM
...Show More Authors

E-learning has recently become of great importance, especially after the emergence of the Corona pandemic, but e-learning has many disadvantages. In order to preserve education, some universities have resorted to using blended learning. Currently, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq has adopted e-learning in universities and schools, especially in scientific disciplines that need laboratories and a spatial presence. In this work, we collected a dataset based on 27 features and presented a model utilizing a support vector machine with regression that was enhanced with the KNN method, which identifies factors that have a substantial influence on the model for the type of education, whether blended or traditiona

Investigation the Effect of Process Variables on the Formability of Parts Processed by Single Point Incremental Forming
...Show More Authors

Incremental sheet metal forming process is an advanced flexible manufacturing process to produce various 3D products without using dedicated tool as in conventional metal forming. There are a lot of process parameters that have effect on this process, studying the effect of some parameters on the strain distributions of the product over the length of deformation is the aim of this study.

In order to achieve this goal, three factors (tool forming shape, feed rate and incremental step size) are examined depending on three levels on the strain distributions over the wall of the product. Strain measurement was accomplished by using image processing technique using MATALB program. The significance of the control factors are explored u

Abstract
<title>Rationale, aims and objectives

Little is known about hesitancy to receive the COVID‐19 vaccines. The objectives of this study were (1) to assess the perceptions of healthcare workers (HCWs) and the general population regarding the COVID‐19 vaccines, (2) to evaluate factors influencing the acceptance of vaccination using the health belief model (HBM), and (3) to qualitatively explore the suggested intervention strategies to promote the vaccination.

Methods

This was a cross‐sectional study based on electronic survey data that was collected in Iraq during December first‐19th, 2020. The electronic surve

A three-stage learning algorithm for deep multilayer perceptron with effective weight initialisation based on sparse auto-encoder
...Show More Authors

A three-stage learning algorithm for deep multilayer perceptron (DMLP) with effective weight initialisation based on sparse auto-encoder is proposed in this paper, which aims to overcome difficulties in training deep neural networks with limited training data in high-dimensional feature space. At the first stage, unsupervised learning is adopted using sparse auto-encoder to obtain the initial weights of the feature extraction layers of the DMLP. At the second stage, error back-propagation is used to train the DMLP by fixing the weights obtained at the first stage for its feature extraction layers. At the third stage, all the weights of the DMLP obtained at the second stage are refined by error back-propagation. Network structures an

Discrete Optimal Control Mathematical Model of Diabetes Population
...Show More Authors

In this work, nonlinear diabetes controlled model with and without complications in a population is considered. The dynamic behavior of diabetes in a population by including a constant control is studied and investigated. The existence of all its possible fixed points is investigated as well as the conditions of the local stability of the considered model are set. We also find the optimal control strategy in order to reduce the number of people having diabetes with complications over a finite period of time. A numerical simulation is provided and confirmed the theoretical results.
