هدف البحث الى معرفة اثر استخدام استراتيجية (REAP ) في الدافعية القرائية في مادة الكيمياء لطلبة الصف الثاني المتوسط وتكونت عينة البحث من (62 ) طالباً من طلاب الصف الثاني المتوسط تم توزيعهم عشوائيا وبالتساوي الى مجموعتين تجريبية وضابطة . وتم مكافأة المجموعتين في المتغيرات : (العمر الزمني بالاشهر ، اختبار المعلومات السابق ، معدل درجات السنة السابقة في مادة الكيمياء ، اختبار الذكاء ، مقياس الدافعية القرائية) ، وتم تطبيق الاستراتيجية على مدى فصل دراسي كامل . أعدت أداة البحث وهي مقياسا للدافعية القرائية ذو ستة ابعاد( الفضول ،التعرف ، الانهماك ، المنافسة ،التحدي ، الاستخدام الاستراتيجي ) وتم حساب الصدق والثبات له وعولجت البيانات إحصائياً باستخدام برنامج SPSS الإحصائي ، فضلاً عن استخدام وسائل إحصائية ( معامل الفا كرونباخ ) ، أظهرت النتائج وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين طلاب المجموعة التجريبية الذين درسوا على وفق استراتيجية (REAP ) وطلاب المجموعة الضابطة الذين درسوا وفقا للطريقة الاعتيادية في الدافعية القرائية لصالح المجموعة التجريبية . وفي ضوء النتائج تم التوصل الى أن استراتيجية (REAP ) لها اثر في رفع مستوى الدافعية القرائية, وعلية يوصي الباحث اعتماد استراتيجية REAP في التدريس, ويقترح إجراء دراسات اخرى لمراحل مختلفة لمعرفة أثرها في التحصيل الدراسي والدافعية القرائية.
