This cluster is responsible for the synthesis of the genotoxin colibactin that might have an important role in the induction of double-strand DNA breaks, leading to promote human colorectal cancer (CRC). The binding energies and low-lying energy spectra of Mg (A=20,22,28 and 30) even-even isotopes have been calculated. The interaction used contains the monopole-monopole, quadrupole-quadrupole and isospin dependent terms.
