Creating a LabVIEW Sub VI for the INA219 sensor for detecting extremely low-level electrical quantities
...Show More Authors

An impressed current cathodic protection system (ICCP) requires measurements of extremely low-level quantities of its electrical characteristics. The current experimental work utilized the Adafruit INA219 sensor module for acquiring the values for voltage, current, and power of a default load, which consumes quite low power and simulates an ICCP system. The main problem is the adaptation of the INA219 sensor to the LabVIEW environment due to the absence of the library of this sensor. This work is devoted to the adaptation of the Adafruit INA219 sensor module in the LabVIEW environment through creating, developing, and successfully testing a Sub VI to be ready for employment in an ICCP system. The sensor output was monitored with an Arduino Uno microcontroller and the LabVIEW Linx firmware toolkit. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique, which ranges from 0% to 100%, was applied by the Arduino to supply the l298N voltage driver in order to regulate the voltage input to the load. A moving average filter was employed to measure the ripple voltage averaging, and a median filter was utilized to stabilize the readings. A passive low-pass filter circuit smoothed the PWM voltage before supplying the load. The results from the MATLAB-Simulink environment showed a cut-off frequency of 2.33 Hz, ripple voltage peak to peak was 41.1 mV and a settling time of 0.157 seconds. The calibrated results of the INA219 module sensor showed an absolute voltage inaccuracy of around 2.3% at full scale. In addition, an absolute error in the current of 2.2% at 25 mA shows a gradual increase as the current increases to 7% at 43 mA, while the highest absolute error for the full scale of power was at 5.8%. The obtained measurements were highly precise, and the values of the coefficient of variation were 0.36 %, 0.28% and 0.17% for the voltage, current, and power, respectively.

The developing countries, like our country Iraq suffer from deep comprehensive structural crisis, manifestations and a clear imbalance between the demand and the supply sides. The overall imbalance in the external balance. As a consequence, this caused the accumulation of foreign debts or failure in the implementation of economic development programs. The countries which are forced to resort to the International Monitoring Funds, and the World Bank for assistance and to express an opinion on policies that include restrictions controls that belong to the monetary, and fiscal side group, imposed on the economies crisis, as a condition for returning to normal which called reform programs. The development of the perforated fin had proposed in many studies to enhance the heat transfer from electronic pieces. This paper presents a novel derivative method to find the temperature distribution of the new design (inclined perforated) of the pin fin. Perforated with rectangular section and different angles of inclination was considered. Signum Function is used for modeling the variable heat transfer area. Set of parameters to handle the conduction and convection area were calculated. Degenerate Hypergeometric Equation (DHE) was used for modeling the Complex energy differential equation and then solved by Kummer’s series. In the validation process, Ansys 16.0-Steady State Thermal was used. Two geometric models were consider

Salivary level of RANKL and OPG in chronic periodontitis
...Show More Authors

Background: Periodontal diseases are initiated by microbial plaque, which accumulates in the sulcular region and induces an inflammatory response. The Receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand / osteoprotegerin (RANKL/OPG) axis is involved in the regulation of bone metabolism in periodontitis, in which an increase in receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand or a decrease in osteoprotegerin can tip the balance in favor of osteoclastogenesis and the resorption of alveolar bone that is the hallmark of periodontitis. This study was performed to investigate the role of salivary levels of RANKL and OPG in pathogenesis of chronic periodontitis. Subjects and Methods: Fifty five subjects with chronic periodontitis with ages rang

Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a common disease, and a major determinant of morbidity and mortality in all races. The pleiotropic effects of the receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand (RANKL) such as modulation of cell survival, mineralization and inflammation, make it an interesting candidate mediator in the progression and destabilization of atherosclerotic lesions. Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the role of RANKL in the pathogenesis of ACS.Methods: The levels of RANKL were measured by ELISA method in sera of 60 ACS patients, 31 patients with unstable angina (UA) and 29 patients with myocardial infarction (MI) in comparison with 20 apparently healthy controls. Results: Current data indicate
