Schiff bases, named after Hugo Schiff, are aldehyde- or ketone-like compounds in which the carbonyl group is replaced by imine or azomethine group. They are widely used for industrial purposes and also have a broad range of applications as antioxidants. An overview of antioxidant applications of Schiff bases and their complexes is discussed in this review. Background: In young adults, multiple sclerosis is a prevalent chronic inflammatory demyelinating condition. It is characterized by white matter affection, but many individuals also have significant gray matter involvement. A double-inversion recovery pulse (DIR) pattern was recently proposed to improve the visibility of multiple sclerosis lesions. Objective: To find out how well a DIR sequence, FLAIR, and T2-weighted pulse sequences can find MS lesions in the supratentorial and infratentorial regions.   Four novel Schiff bases SB1 to SB4 as new aromatic compound not hydrolysed under ordinary conditions were synthesized in this study by condensation reactions between2,4dinitrophenylhydrazine: firstly with 2,4,4`-trihydroxybenzophenone to give SB1, secondly with  4hydroxybenzophenone to give SB2, thirdly with 4-dimethylaminobenzaldhyde to give SB3 and fourthly with 4-aminobenzaldehyde to give SB4.      New nano composites containing Schiff bases have been synthesized and presented in this paper. All compounds have been categorized through FT-IR and some of them by H-NMR spectroscopy.      This work is devoted to define new generalized gamma and beta functions involving the recently suggested seven-parameter Mittag-Leffler function, followed by a review of all related special cases. In addition, necessary investigations are affirmed for the new generalized beta function, including, Mellin transform, differential formulas, integral representations, and essential summation relations. Furthermore, crucial statistical application has been realized for the new generalized beta function.  

This study was performed at Nuclear Radiation Hospital in Baghdad for the period from
January 2011 to May 2011. 44 Blood samples were collected from patients suffered lung and
bladder cancer and 24 samples as healthy control individuals.
Routine liver functions tests were studied by measuring S.GPT, S.GOT and Kidney
function was evaluated by estimation of blood urea and creatinine in serum samples of
individuals studied.
It was observed that the incidence of lung and bladder cancer was higher in males than
females patients ( male 81.82 %, 72.73%, female18 .18%, 27.27% respectively).

A nonlinear filter for smoothing color and gray images
corrupted by Gaussian noise is presented in this paper. The proposed
filter designed to reduce the noise in the R,G, and B bands of the
color images and preserving the edges. This filter applied in order to
prepare images for further processing such as edge detection and
image segmentation.
The results of computer simulations show that the proposed
filter gave satisfactory results when compared with the results of
conventional filters such as Gaussian low pass filter and median filter
by using Cross Correlation Coefficient (ccc) criteria.
