The study introduces the twentieth century background where the image of teacher is shaped by various factors according to the wide emergence of new educational institutions in the aftermath of the Second World War. A group of writers mirrored the influence of the war on educational institutions and accordingly on the image of teacher in their novels whose main action is set in and around the campus of a university. The genre dates back to the nineteen forties. where they show the foibles of human nature and reactions to external pressures. One of the early examples of this genre is Lucky Jim (1954). The image of teacher is swinged in many shapes from the tyrant to the rebellion to the defiant. All is personified in the characters of these three novels which are affected by the general milieu in which they grew up
The Mauddud Formation was one of the important and widespread Lower Cretaceous period formations in Iraq. In the present paper we report the synthesis of a new ligand [HL][(2-1-[(2-hydroxy-benzylidene)-hydrazono]-ethyl) benzene-1, 3, 5-triol and its complexes with (Mn", Fe", Cd", and Hg") The ligand was prepared in two steps. In the first step a solution of salicylaldehyed in methanol reacted under reflux with hydrazinemonohydrate to give an intermediate compound which reacted in the second step with 2, 4, 6-trihydroxidernonohydrate giving the tientioned ligand. Two groups of chronic hepatitis B and C virus patients were divided into Pre-treated patients (25 CHB patients with positive HBs Ag for more than 6 months and 40 CHC patients), and post-treated patients [12 CHB patients (4, 6, and 2 were treated with lamivudine, IFN-? and combination of LMV + IFN-? respectively), and 27 patients for CHC (3, 13 and 11 patients were treated with Ribavirin, IFN-? and combination therapy (RBV+ IFN-?) respectively].These patients were followed up for 6 months.
