The use of piezocatalysis with photocatalysis in the degradation of organic pollutants has become an attractive research field due to the enhanced synergistic effect of the two processes. Herein, binary composites of AgBr decorated onto Br-doped g-C3N4 in different weight percentages (AgBr content was varied from 10 wt% to 40 wt%) have been built as heterojunction piezo-photo catalysts with a highly efficient performance. The 20 wt%AgBr/Br-g-C3N4 catalysts showed synergistically improved piezo-photo catalytic decomposition toward Methylene blue (MB) under visible-light and sonication exposure in a simple constructed split-plate airlift contactor, completing 99.7 % degradation of MB within 60 min. The heterogeneous junction established among AgBr and Br-g-C3N4, which, in combination with the piezoelectric effect that results in the acceleration of the photocharge separation process, and good self-mixing provided by airflow inside the airlift reactor, contributed to the boosted performance. The reaction mechanism has been deliberated, and approved by trapping trials. Besides, the reusability studies confirmed the high steadiness activity of the AgBr/Br-g-C3N4 catalyst. The piezo-photocatalytic activity decreased only from 99.7 % to only 95.6 % after five cycles.
Background: Prolactin is a hormone, as well as a cytokine which is synthesized and secreted from the anterior pituitary gland and various extra pituitary sites including immune cells under control of a superdistal promoter that contains a single nucleotide polymorphism -1149 G/T. Rheumatoid Arthritis has been associated with increased serum prolactin levels. Objectives: To investigate the association of the extra pituitary -1149 G/T promoter polymorphism among Iraqi rheumatoid arthritis patients and prolactin levels. Methods: We tested 73 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 40 healthy individuals. The DNA samples were genotyped using the Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction fragment Length Polymorphism method and the levels of prolacti

Various types of biometrics like face, finger, iris, retina, voice, palm print, ear and hand geometry, in all these characteristics, iris recognition gaining attention because iris of every person is unique, it never changes during human lifetime and highly protected against damage. This unique feature shows that iris can be good security measure. Iris recognition system listed as a high confidence biometric identification system; mostly it is divide into four steps: Acquisition, localization, segmentation and normalization. This work will review various Iris Recognition systems used by different researchers for each recognit
... Show MoreIndexes of topological play a crucial role in mathematical chemistry and network theory, providing valuable insights into the structural properties of graphs. In this study, we investigate the Resize graph of G2(3), a significant algebraic structure arising from the exceptional Lie group (G2) over the finite field F3. We compute several well-known topological indices, including the Zagreb indices, Wiener index, and Randić index, to analyze the graph's connectivity and complexity. Our results reveal intricate relationships between the algebraic structure of G2(3) and its graphical properties, offering a deeper understanding of its combinatorial and spectral characteristics. These findings contribute to the broader study of algebraic graph t

Show MoreThe emergence of such widespread pharmaceuticals as a pollutant has become one of the world's critical environmental problems that may lead to both the public's health and biodiversity deterioration. This article provides an exhaustive account of the current understanding of the environmental persistence of pharmaceutical contaminants following in-depth analysis of the additive effects of existing natural biodegradation pathways on the human health impact of these drugs. Paying special attention to biodegradation decomposing agents such as bacteria, fungi, and algae the paper estimates their ability to convert drug ingredients to compound that is eventually less toxic. Although these biologic systems contain an enormous potential fo

In this work, we have examined the spectral response of (p-CuAlSe2/n-Si) detector, (CAS) thin films deposited by thermal evaporation at RT with a thickness (450) nm, and annealing temperature at (473K) for 2 h. Optical transmission measurements displayed reasonably slight transmission besides higher absorbance trendy the visible region, energy gaps were observed by annealing, were found to be direct, and decreased with the effect of annealing. The extreme responsivity value arises at wavelength 459 nm, with improvement value of specific detectivity and quantum efficiency the annealing films be situated originate as greatest suitable aimed at numerous device application.
This study comprised three traverses extending parallel through the Northern, Central and Southern Mahmudiya districts, and perpendicular to the course of the Euphrates River. They were identified to collect (15) soil samples and some water samples as distributed within the land cover classes of the study area. Those classes were determined by visual interpretation and supervised classification for Landsat (TM) images obtained in August/2007. The digital classification was based on Maximum Likelihood method using six spectral bands excluding the thermal band. Chemical and physical laboratory analysis for the soil characteristics was performed to determine the types of land degradation in the study area.
