Transcriptomic Reanalysis Reveals Complement, Circadian, and Toll-Like Receptor Signaling Remodeling in Lactiplantibacillus plantarum-Induced Innate Immune Memory in Human Monocytes
...Show More Authors

The commensal bacterium Lactiplantibacillus plantarum is recognized for its ability to cause a state of innate immune memory in monocytes, characterized by the tolerogenic phenotype and lowered pro-inflammatory responses. This study provides an extensive re-examination of the transcriptomic dataset originating from human CD14 + monocytes primed with live or heat-killed L. plantarum (GSE159496). Using a computational approach, 1,954 differentially expressed gene calls that corresponded to 1,397 unique genes were obtained through three pairwise comparisons. In addition, several novel biological pathways that were not investigated in the original study were discovered. Priming with live L. plantarum resulted in a marked downregulation of the complement system (12.5% decrease in its module score, p < 0.001), indicating an important mechanism of immune evasion. Additionally, a significant alteration of the circadian rhythm pathway was revealed, indicating its connection to metabolic time management in sustaining long-term immune tolerance. Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling was coordinately repressed, with 17 pathway genes—including the receptors TLR2 and TLR8—significantly downregulated in live primed cells (p.adjust = 3.0 × 10–6 ). Other significantly modulated novel pathways included a downregulation of glycosylation and post-translational modifications (−13.2%, p < 0.01) and an upregulation of amino acid sensing/mTOR signaling (+11%, p < 0.001) and xenobiotic detoxification (+12%, p < 0.01). These findings point to a multi-layered adaptive response where L. plantarum not only dampens canonical inflammatory signaling but also actively remodels cellular processes related to pathogen recognition, metabolic sensing, and stress responses. This reanalysis provides a more granular model of probiotic-induced immune memory. Received: 24 June 2026 | Revised: 6 August 2026 | Accepted: 15 September 2026 Conflicts of Interest The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest to this work. Data Availability Statement The data analyzed in this study are publicly available in the NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus under accession GSE159496: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/query/acc.cgi?acc=GSE159496. Renoprotective effects of Guggulsterone against Cisplatin-Induced Kidney Damage in White Female Albino Rats
...Show More Authors

Background: Gugglusterone has been reported to provide protection against inflammatory and oxidative reactions of different pathological conditions. Objectives: The main object of this research work is to evaluate the renoprotective effects of guggulsterone in the prevention of cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats via assessment of renal function and histological study. Materials and methods: Rats in this study were split into four groups which comprise a control group, an induction group, a third group receiving low-dose guggulsterone, and a fourth group receiving high-dose guggulsterone. Results: a single dose of cisplatin drug has jeopardisedrenal physiology that has been demonstrated in histopathology sections and elevation

Therapeutic Effects of Allicin against the Diabetes Mellitus Induced by Streptozotocin in Male Rats
...Show More Authors

This study aimed to see how allicin (45mg/kg BW) affected diabetic Mellitus in male rats (DM). Forty male rats were utilized, and they were split into four groups at random for 42 days. T2 was treated with 45 mg/kg B.W of allicin dissolved in 1 ml of D.W daily and injected with a single dose of sodium citrate buffer (0.5ml Intra-Peritoneal IP), DM was induced in T1 and T2 by injection of a single dose of streptozotocin 50 mg/kg B.W IP, T1 was assigned as a positive control, T3 received 45 mg/kg B.W. of allicin dissolved in 1 ml D.W. every day, and a single dose of sodium citrate buffer was injected (0.5ml IP). When diabetic rats treated with allicin in T2 were compared to diabetic rats in T1, the findings indicated a significant increase (P

Preventive Effects of Different Doses of Pentoxyfilline Against CCl4-Induced Liver Toxicity in Rats
...Show More Authors

The liver protective effects of pentoxifylline were studied through pre-treatment of rats with various intraperitoneal (IP) doses (25, 50 and 100mg/kg/day) 14 days before induction of liver toxicity by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4). The parameters of oxidative stress, malondialdehyde (MDA) and reduced glutathione (GSH) were measured in liver homogenate in addition to histopathological examinations. Analysis of data revealed significant amelioration of oxidative stress in groups of animals pre-treated with different doses of pentoxifylline (PTX) compared to group of animals intoxicated by CCl4 as evidenced by lowering MDA contents and elevation of GSH levels in liver tissue homogenate but the levels still signifi

Evaluation the anti-inflammatory effect of Omega 369 against acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in mice
...Show More Authors

Background: Acetaminophen (N-acetyl-para-aminophenol, or APAP) poisoning, whether intentional or accidental, is a major general health problem, with its toxicity prevalence significantly increasing in many countries. Currently, acetaminophen is considered one of the main causes of acute liver failure globally.

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible hepatoprotective effect of Omega-3,6,9 against acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in albino male mice.

Methods: Thirty-five albino male mice were randomly divided into five groups: Group 1 (the negative control) received liquid paraffin orally at a dose of 10 ml/kg for t

Analyzing the Potential Antioxidative Effects of Omega-369 in Preventing Acetaminophen-Induced Liver Damage

Background: As acetaminophen (APAP) toxicity has become more common in many countries, related cases of poisoning, whether deliberate or unintentional, have been identified as a key contributor to acute liver failure. Aime: To discover if omega-369 fatty acids could protect the liver of male mice from the effects of acetamiophen. Methods: Thirty-five albino male mice were allocated to one of five groups at random. Group 1 served as the "negative control" and received a single intraperitoneal injection (10 ml/kg) of normal saline on the eleventh day of the test following ten days of receiving liquid paraffin orally at a dose of 10 ml/kg. The liquid paraffin was given to group 2 "positive control". Group 3 received Omega 369 (50 mg/kg

Study the Effects of Polyphenolic Cocoa beans Extracts (CE) in Streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.

Diabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by increasing of glucose level in plasma compared with normal value (hyperglycemia). This disease also causes elevation of lipid profile levels except HDL (High density lipoproteins) which increased relatively. The effects of the polyphenolic mixture (catechins, epicatechins, procyanidin B1, procyanidin B2 and procyanidin C1) on total cholesterol (TC), triacylglycerol (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) were studied in (30) streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice with (20-25)gm weight. Mice were given (30 mg/mL) of Polyphenolic Cocoa beans Extracts (CE) once daily for (7) days before Streptozotocin STZ injection and for (21 day) there after. A

Lawful protection of the human gene conceded a moral concern regarding the future of existence human. After the discovery of the human genetic map, scientific experiments and research related to the human gene increased, negative applications of genetic engineering in particular that violate essential human rights, the right to human dignity to be specific. These practices represent actual challenges to the existence and diversity of current and future generations. Therefore, the presence of legal rules at the domestic and global levels is an absolute necessity to prohibit these threats and determine civil and criminal accountability for those who infringe any laws related to this issue.
