Study the Bacterial Activity Isolated from Colon and Rectal Cancer Biopsy in Cell Lines Culture
...Show More Authors

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common disease and cause of death globally. The aim of the study is investigation and detection of some bacterial interfering with CRC occurrence and progression. The study conducted between September 2022 till February 2023, a total of 50 specimens were collected from confirmed CRC patients. In addition, 50 stool specimens were collected from Healthy volunteers, considers as control group. Isolation and identification of bacteria in all collected specimens were done by using cultural and differential media (blood agar, macconkey agar and Pfizer agar), as well as the VITEK- 2 compact system. The bacterial species, in the specimens of control were ( Escherichia coli 50 (86.20%), Klebsiella Pneumonia 3(5.17%), Salmonella typhi 2(3.44%), Staphylococcus aureus 1(1.72%), Proteus mirabilis 1(1.72%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa 1(1.72%), while in the specimens of CRC and polyp were (Escherichia coli 30(38.69%), Streptococcus uberis 6(7.79%), Enterobacter cloacae 4(5.19%), Proteus mirabilis 11(14.28), Streptococcus constellatus pharyneis 1(1.29%), Micrococcus luteus 1(1.29%), Staphlococcus pseudintermedius 1(1.29%), Streptococcus thoraltensis 1(1.29%), Citrobacter freundii 1(1.29%), Streptoccus mutans 1(1.29%), Enterococcus faecium 5(6.49%), Enterococcus faecalis 4(5.19%), Granulicatella elegans 1(1.29%), Enterococcus gallinarum 2(2.59%), Serratia marcescens 1(1.29%), Streptococcus sangunis 1(1.29%), Staphylococcus lentus 1(1.29%), Comamons testosteroni 1(1.29%), Morganella morganii 1(1.29%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 1(1.29%), Klebsiella pneumonia 2(2.59%). The bacteria which has been shown to be associated and more abundance in the specimens of CRC tissues are Escherichia.coli 30(38.96%), Streptococcus uberis 6(7.79%), Enterobacter cloacae 4(5.19%), Enterococcus faecium 5(6.49%), Enterococcus faecalis 4(5.19%). Cell-line culture techniques for the five species showed a cellular viability, sequentially Streptocccus uberis (16.12%), Enterococcus faecium (16.39%), Entreococcus faecalis (9.48%), Enterobacter cloacae (15.11%) and Escherichia coli (17.61%). The results statistically studied by using SPSS, which showed excellent or (highly) significant (p-value is in the range of 0.001).

A Case Study of Bus Line Passenger Volumes of Bakrajo Bus Lines in Sulaimani City
...Show More Authors

Transit agencies constantly need information about system operations and passengers to support their regular scheduling and operation planning processes. The lack of these processes and cultural motivations to use public transportations contributes enormously to the reliance on the private cars rather than public transportation, resulting in traffic congestions. The traffic congestions occur mainly during peak hours and the accidents happening as a result of road accidents and construction works.  This study investigates the effects of weekday and weekend travel variability on peak hours of the passenger flow distribution on bus lines, which can effectively reflect the degree of traffic congestion. A study of passen

Molecular screening of the entA gene of Enterococcus faecium isolated from Food and clinical sources
...Show More Authors

Background: The microbial production of substances that have the potency to suppress the growth of other microorganisms is probably one of the prevalent defense strategy developed in nature, microorganisms produce a variable bunch of microbial defense systems, which include antibiotics, metabolic by-products, lytic agents, bacteriocins and others. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to isolate and identify Enterococcus faecium isolates then detecting its ability of carrying the gene responsible for enterocin production in this species. Materials and methods: Out of 50 samples from different sources (food and clinical sources) were collected for the Enterococcus faecium isolation, and the isolated bacteria Enterococ

Purification and Characterization of Bacterial Nanocellulose Produced by Gluconobacter 5AC Isolate from Apple Vinegar
...Show More Authors

Specific microorganisms can produce bacterial nanocellulose (BNC), with acetic acid bacteria (AAB) being the most active producer. The family Acetobacteraceae includes the obligate aerobic, motile acetic acid bacteria. The BNC has attracted a lot of interest across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, due to its flexible characteristics, properties, and advantages. The present study was conducted to purify and characterize BNC produced from AAB isolated from apple vinegar. Bacterial nanocellulose was synthesized using a natural date palm liquid medium at pH 6 at 30°C for 8–10 days. The bacterial cellulose produced was then purified using a technique involving 0.1 M sodium hydroxide. To ascertain the surface mor

Many studies have recommended implying the skills and strategies of creative thinking, critical thinking, and reflective thinking in EFLT curriculum to overcome EFL teaching-learning process difficulties. It is really necessary to make EFL teachers aware of the importance of cultural thinking and have a high perception of its forces. Culture of thinking consists of eight cultural forces in every learning situation; it helps to shape the group's cultural dynamic. These forces are expectations, language, time, modeling, opportunities, routines, interactions, and environment. This study aims to investigate EFL student-teachers’ perceptions of cultural thinking. The participants are selected randomly from the fourth-stage students at

Cities of Lebanon from "Planning to Congestion Towards a "flexible mobility culture
...Show More Authors

This paper examines the change in planning pattern In Lebanon, which relies on vehicles as a semi-single mode of transport, and directing it towards re-shaping the city and introducing concepts of "smooth or flexible" mobility in its schemes; the concept of a "compact city" with an infrastructure based on a flexible mobility culture. Taking into consideration environmental, economical and health risks of the existing model, the paper focuses on the four foundations of the concepts of "city based on culture flexible mobility, "and provides a SWOT analysis to encourage for a shift in the planning methodology.

Molecular Characterisation of Virulence Factors in Cryptococcus spp. Isolated from Humans, Pigeons, and Eucalyptus Sources
...Show More Authors

This study aimed to isolate and identify Cryptococcus species from three distinct sources: sputum samples of pigeon fanciers, dried pigeon droppings, and eucalyptus tree leaves. A total of 150 specimens were collected over a two-month period, comprising 50 samples each from human sputum, pigeon droppings collected across various areas of Baghdad, and eucalyptus leaves obtained from the Baghdad College of Veterinary Medicine. All samples were cultured on Sabouraud dextrose agar supplemented with chloramphenicol and incubated at 25°C for 2–3 days. From the initial cultures, 20 isolates presumptively identified as Cryptococcus spp. were obtained: 6 isolates (12%) from human sputum, 9 isolates (18%) from pigeon droppings, and 5 isol
