This study was aimed to investigate the association between thyroid disorder and Helicobacter pylori infection in 122 patients (100 females and 22 males )and for comparison, 60 healthy individuals (31females and 29 males),who had no thyroid disorder, were also included in the study. This study aimed at the investigation of abnormal liver and renal functions by biochemical manifestations of underlying metabolic abnormalities in relation to hyperglycemia in non-insulin-dependent diabetic patients. The study comprised 118 diabetic patients (56 males, 62 females) and 60 age-matched healthy non-diabetic controls (30 males, 30 females). All subjects were tested for serum levels of liver enzymatic indicators, which include aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), as well as non enzymatic parameters, including total bilirubin and total proteins.Also, serum levels of renal function markers, including microalbumin, creatinine, urea, and uric acid were measured.

The study aimed to investigate NPM1 and FLT3-ITD mutations in Iraqi patients with AML and correlateresults with other clinical and laboratory findings. Fifty-eight AML patients, admitted to Baghdad TeachingHospital from October 2019 till March 2020 in addition to 25 normal controls, were included in the study.A detailed history, laboratory investigations including FLT3-ITD and NPM1 mutations were collected fromand analyzed. 313 blood samples were collected from bacteremia patients, including 146 samples (30 from patients and 116 from outpatients) from Azadi teaching hospital, 36 samples from the dialysis unit at Kirkuk General Hospital, 126 samples (42 from inpatients and 84 from outpatients) from the Children's Hospital, and 5 samples from the Women's and Obstetrics Hospital in Kirkuk province, for the period from January 24, 2022, to September 10, 2022. The study, including the isolation and diagnosis of bacteria and the study of their resistance to antibiotics, The results show that 32 (17.87%) positive growth cultures were obtained from febrile patients, 3 (8.33%) from dialysis patients in the dialysis unit, and 15 (65.21%) from burn and wound patients.
