The mixed ligand complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) with alanine and 8-hydroxyqinoline (Oxine) were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR ,spectra electronic, flam-AAS] along with conductivity measurements , solubility , melting point, magnetic susceptipibility.The synthesized complexes were tested in vitro for antimicrobial activity. The results obtained indicated that some of these complexes are more active than with others.
Coupling reaction of 4-nitroaniline with 3-aminobenzoic acid provided the corresponding bidentate azo ligand. The prepared ligand was identified by Microelemental Analysis, 1H-NMR, FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. Treatment of the prepared ligand with Y(III) and La(III) metal ions in 1:3 M:L ratio in aqueous ethanol at optimum pH yielded a series of neutral complexes with the general formula of [M(L)3]. We also prepare the metal complexes of poly (vinyl- 4-aminobenzoate) and antimicrobial properties were evaluated by dilute method against five pathogenic bacteria (Escherichia coli, Shigella dysentery, Klebsiella pneumonae, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus Albus) and two fungal (Aspergillus Niger, Yeast). All polymer metal complexes showed different activities against the various microbial isolates. The polymer metal complexes showed higher activity than the free polymer.
In this work, some new pyrazole derivatives were prepared through the reaction of the diazonium salt of metoclopramide with acetylacetone to give 5-chloro-N-(2-(diethylamino)ethyl)-4-((2,4-dioxopentan-3-yl) diazenyl)-2-methoxybenzamide (1) in 80% yield. Compound 1 was then reacted with some hydrazine derivatives to afford the corresponding pyrazole derivatives in 75-93% yields. Also this study was designed to show the effects of bis-oxadiazole compound on the activities of some transferase enzymes such as: GOT, GPT and γ-GT in sera. This compound demonstrated activation on GOT and GPT activities, inhibitory effects on the γ-GT activity. These effects increased with the increasing of the concentration of the compound. concentrations of heavy metals in canned vegetables, was lead 1.179 ppm in olive,
nickel 0.9078 ppm in olive, while zinc 10.143 ppm green peas and iron 90.601ppm in
white asparagus; but the lower concentrations represents with lead 0.0021 ppm in green
asparagus, nickel 0.0202 ppm in mushroom, while zinc 0.528 ppm in white asparagus

5wt% copper doped zinc oxide (Cu-ZnO) nanostructures were prepared via the hydrothermal technique at different temperatures of 70, 100, 130, 160 and 190oC. UV spectroscopy, FE-SEM microscopy, XRD crystallography, and EDS measurements were used for nanostructure characterization. UV spectroscopy indicated a red shift for the absorption peaks, and hence a blue shift for the energy gap values, as temperature increased from 70 to 190oC. FE-SEM microscopy showed an increase in the average lengths and diameters of the nanostructures following a similar increase in temperature.
