Synthesis And Studies Of Complexes Of Some Elements With 2-Mercaptohiazole (2-HMBT)

  Diazotization reaction between quinolin-2-ol and (2-chloro-1-(4-(N-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yl)sulfamoyl)phenyl)-2l4-diazyn-1-ium was carried out resulting in ligand-HL, this in turn reacted with the next metal ions (Ni2+, Pt4+, Pd2+, and Mn2+)  forming stable complexes with unique geometries such as (tetrahedral for both Ni2+ and Mn2+, octahedral for Pt4+ and square planer for Pd2+ ). The creation of such complexes was detected by employing spectroscopic means involving ultraviolet-visible which proved the obtained geometries, fourier transfer proved the formation of azo group and the coordination with metal ion through it. Amoxicillin 1 was treated with thiosemicarbazide and Phosphoryl chloride to obtain a new derivatives that contains 1,3,4-thiadiazole moiety 2. Schiff bases compounds were synthesized by the reaction of compound 2 with different aldehydes such as benzaldehyde and some substituted Benzaldehyde; p-hydroy, p-Chloro, p-Nitro, p-Dimethylamino, p-Methyl, p-Methoxy, p-Ethoxy to give compounds 3a-h. The obtained compounds have tested towards gram -ve and gram +ve bacteria. The compound shows good to moderate result towards the bacteria.

A new Schiffbase derivative ligands [H4L1] and [H2L2] have been produced by condensed ophathaldehyde with ethylene diamine and [N1, N1'E, N1, N1'E)-N1, N1'-(1, 2-phenylenebis (methan-1-yl- 1ylidene)) diethane-1, 2-diamine] with 2-benzoyl benzoic acid. Schiffbase ligands have been separated and categorized by 1H, 13 C-NMR, (CHN) elemental analysis, UV-visible, mass spectroscopy and FTIR methods.
