Abstract Liver cancer with hepatocellular carcinoma a serious clinical illness that progresses quickly and has a bad prognosis because to increased malignancy. Fibrosis is the precursor of liver cancer, which progresses to cirrhosis and carcinoma Diethylnitrosamine (DEN) is a chemical molecule that has been used as a carcinogenic agent to promote cancer in test animals because of its strong carcinogenic potential. Herbal plants have long been used as inexpensive, effective alternatives to pharmaceuticals in various liver-associated complications, since they contain many bioactive compounds useful in liver disorders. Hibiscus tiliaceus L. (Malvaceae) contain various phytochemicals in the plant extracts such as Flavonoids, phenols, alkaloids, Tannins, Saponins, Quinones, Coumarine, Triterpenoids, glycosides and Steroids. Thus, has various health benefits, and have medicinal and therapeutic values, It could be a source of natural antioxidants, antimicrobials, hepatoprotective compounds, and antimutagenic effects. The study was designed To study the possible protective role of Iraqi Hibiscus tiliaceus L. ethanol leaves extract administered in two different doses on diethylnitrosamine induced liver carcinoma in male Wistar Albino rats. Rats utilized in this study were randomized into 4 groups (six rats per each group); Group I: (Control) Rats were administered oral daily dose of 1ml /kg/day of distilled water for 20 weeks; Group II: rats intraperitoneally injected with 70 mg/kg diethyl nitrosamine once per week for 10 continuous weeks; Group III: Rats were administered 250mg/kg of Iraqi Hibiscus tiliaceus L. ethanol leaves extract as chronic oral administration with food for 5 days per week for 20 weeks and subsequently intraperitoneal dose of diethylnitrosamine (70 mg/kg) once per week for 10 continuous weeks; Groups IV: Rats were administered 500mg/kg of Hibiscus tiliaceus L. ethanol leaves extract as chronic oral administration with food for 5 days per week for 20 weeks with subsequently intraperitoneal dose of diethylnitrosamine (70 mg/kg) once per week for 10 continuous weeks. The finding revealed that Iraqi Hibiscus tiliaceus L. ethanol leaves extract showed significant reduction (P<0.05) in malondialdehyde, alpha fetoprotein (AFP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin (TSB), pro-inflammatory cytokines include transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) and significant elevation (P<0.05) of anti-oxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) in dose dependent manner. In conclusion this study demonstrated that the chemoprotective role of Hibiscus tiliaceus L. ethanol leaves extract might be explained by; lowered levels of hepatic enzymes, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and antioxidant levels, as well as decreased levels of alpha fetoprotein (AFP), the gold standard for detecting hepatocellular carcinoma.
The experiment was carried out in College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad during November 1, 2019 to June 1, 2020. The experiment was designed according to a randomized complete block design. Each block contained 18 experimental units that included the three study factors. The first factor interaction between two inoculum densities and application methods, three levels control, treatment of seeds inoculation with 5g plant and treatment of seedlings inoculation whith 30g plant . The second factor was three -1 -1concentrations of spraying of kinetin 0, 75 and 150 mg L , and third factor include two levels of organic manure) and addition of fertilizer 2% of -1 the weight of the soil (O2). The results showed a signif

The aim of this research is to study the effect of plant growth regulators on callus induction and Rutin concentration. A combination of Benzyle adenine (BA) and Indol Acetic acid (IAA) at (0.0,1.0,2.0) mg/L was added to the media, the highest fresh weight of the induced callus from stem explant was (4.97) gr . at (1.0,1.0) mg/L BA and IAA consenquently the same combination gave the highest dry weight of callus (0.42) gr. while the combination at (2.0,1.0) mg/L BA and IAA gave the highest fresh weight of induced callus from Leaves explant (5.28) gr., then (2.0,1.0) mg/L BA and IAA gave the highest dry weight for callus induced from leaves at (0.55

Results showed that leaves area, leaves area index and chlorophyll percentage were significantly increased by using mulching and chemical fertilizer by (7463.70 cm2, 3.97, 45.33 SPAD units) respectively. Also this treatment significantly increased total stomata number and in both lower and upper sides of the leaf by (957,721,176) stomata /mm2 respectively. But by using mulching treatment with organic manure significantly increased vessels and sieve t

Sorghum cultivars (Bohuth70, Inqath and Rabeh), seed soaking in dry yeast extract (3, 6 and 9 g l-1) in addition to dry seeds and electrical conductivity (4, 10 and 16 dS m-1) were studied. Traits of germination ratio at first and final counts, lengths of radicle and plumule, seedling dry weight and seedling vigour index were studied. The cultivar of Bohuth70 and concentration of yeast extract (9 g l-1) were superior at all studied traits, while all traits values were reduced with increased saline stress. The combination (Bohuth70×9×4) was superior to most other treatments at first and final counts, radicle length and seedling dry weight, while superiority of plumule length a

Termites dry nests were collected and the effective material was extracted then the antibacterial activity was detected using the disc diffusion assay. Results were showed that the extract have antibacterial material from the Termites dry nests, this extract showed antibacterial activity against Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) at (21.5mm) and Gram negative bacteria ( Enterobacter sp. and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) at (26 mm and 20 mm) respectively by inhibiting their growth, as well as its effect on biofilm production o

In order to achieve the objectives of the current research, the two researchers have prepared a scale of the possible self, based on the theory (Markus and Nurius, 1986). The research tool was applied to a sample of (400) male and female students who were selected through a random stratified method from Al-Mustansiriya University students/morning studies for the academic year (2019-2020). The researcher reached the following results: the research sample has a high level of possible self; there is a differ

Most of CRC arises from development of adenomatous polyps. The current study aimed to determine whether serum retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4) and Nesfatin-1 can be used as a novel biomarker for diagnosis of CRC. Nesfatin-1, RBP4 and Thyroid Hormones (T3, T4 and TSH) levels were measured in fifty sera of male patients suffering from CRC before chemotherapy initiation treatment as G1, G2 after first chemotherapy cycle dose and G3 after second chemotherapy cycle dose compared with twenty five male volunteers as a control G4. The results showed a significant increased in RBP 4 concentration in G3 and a signific

Lubricating oil distillate produced by vacuum distillation and refined by furfural extraction was taken from Al-Daura refinery. This oil distillate has a pour point of 34 ºC. Two solvents were used to dilute the oil distillate, these are methyl isobutyl ketone and methylene chloride. The operating conditions of the urea adduct formation with n-paraffins in the presence of methyl isobutyl ketone were studied in details, these are solvent to oil volume ratio within the range of 0 to 2, mixer speed 0 to 2000 rpm, urea to wax weight ratio 0 to 6.3, time of adduction 0 to 71 min and temperature 30-70 ºC).
