The electric quadrupole moments for some nitrogen isotopes (12,14,15,16,18N) are
studied by shell model calculations with the proton-neutron formalism. Theoretical
calculations performed using the different set of effective charges due to the core
polarization effect. The effective charges in the p-shell nuclei are found to be
slightly different from those in the sd-shell nuclei. Most of the results we have
obtained are underestimated with the measured data for the isotopes considered in
this work.

Finite element technique was used to follow the initiation and growth of plasma channels (streamer discharge) within pin-plane configuration. That was done for different spacing between the pin-electrode and the liquid-liquid interface. Streamer growth model assumed that, the streamer initiation occurs at the region of the highest value of electric field. The work include synthesis of nanocomposites (X / S / Ag) based on blend from Xanthan gum / sodium alginate polymers (X / S) with different loading of synthesized silver nanoparticales (0.01, 0.03 and 0.05 wt%) were added to the blend.
