The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different inhibitors on the corrosion rate of aluminum in 50% (v/v) ethylene glycol solution at 80°C and pH 8.0 in which the electrochemical technique of linear sweep voltammetry was employed to characterize each inhibitor function and to calculate the corrosion rate from Tafel plots generated by a computer assisted  potentiostat.

It is found that both sodium dichromate and borax reduces the corrosion rate by polarizing the anodic polarization curve while sodium phosphate, potassium phosphate, and sodium benzoate reduces the corrosion rate by polarizing both the anodic and cathodic  polarization curve.

The preparation of activated carbon (AC) from date stones by using microwave assisted K2CO3 activation was investigated in this paper. The influence of radiation time, radiation power, and impregnation ratio on the yield and methylene blue (MB) uptake of such carbon were studied. Based on Box-Wilson central composite design, two second order polynomial models were developed to correlate the process variables to the two responses. From the analysis of variance the significant variables on each response were identified. The aim of this paper is determine the concentration of the organic oxygen in some organic compounds (Aldehydes ) by the derivative neutron activation analysis technique, and the derivative of the oxygen by the nitrogen equivalent toit and the irradiation of anew sample in flounce (1.73*106  n.cm-2.s-1) by the neutron generator .Then the calculation of the radioactivity which is done by using NaI(Tl) .      In this research, new Schiff base is derived from chitosan O-nitrobenzyldehyde and its complexes were synthesized. All compounds were characterized by FT-IR, UV-Visible, TGA, DTA, TG and molar conductivity with melting point.
