3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-(3-(4-nitrobenzoyl) thioureido) propanoic acid (HNP) a new ligand was synthesized by reaction of Tyrosine with (4-Nitrobenzoyl isothiocyanate) by using acetone as a solvent. The prepared ligand (HNP) has been characterized by elemental analysis (CHNS), infrared (FT-IR), electronic spectral (Ultraviolet visible) and(1H,13C-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectra. Some Divalent metal ion complexes of (HNP) were prepared and spectroscopic studies by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), electronic spectral(UV-Vis), molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility and atomic absorption. The results measured showed the formula of six prepared complexes were [M (HNP)2] (M+2 = Manganese, Cobalt, Nickel, Znic, Cadmium and Mercury),from the

Show MoreTwo Schiff base ligands L1 and L2 have been obtained by condensation of salicylaldehyde respectively with leucylalanine and glycylglycine then their complexes with Zn(II)were prepared and characterized by elemental analyses , conductivity measurement , IR and UV-Vis .The molar conductance measurement indicated that the Zn(II) complexes are 1:1 non-electrolytes. The IR data demonstrated that the tetradentate binding of the ligands L1 and L2 . The in vitro biological screening effect of the investigated compounds have been tested against the bacterial species Staphlococcus aureus, Escherichia coil , Klebsiella pneumaniae, Proteus vulgaris and Pseudomonas aeruginosa by the disc diffusion method . The thermal and reological properties were studied. The increasing Of bulky groups decreasing stability of the thermal and reological properties.
A new ligand 3-hydroxy-2-(3-(4-nitrobenzoyl) thiouriedo) propanoic acid (NTP) where synthesized by reaction of 4-nitro benzoyl isothiocyanate with serine amino acid. The ligand was characterized by FT-IR, NMR spectra and the elemental analysis. The transition metal complexes of this ligand where synthesize and characterized by UV-Visible spectra, FT-IR, magnetic suscpility, conductively measurement, The general formula [M (NTP) 2] where M+2= (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg,), the form of molecular for these complexes as tetrahedral except Cu has square planer.
In this publication, several six coordinate bridged-polymeric metal complexes are reported. The reaction of 4,4`-dipyridine with ethyl chloroacetate in mole ratio of 1:2 gave the multidentate carboxylate ligand bis(N-carboxylatomethyl)-4,4`-dipyridinium). The reaction of the ligand with metal chloride and sodium azide resulted in the formation of the required polymeric complexes. Upon complex formation, the carboxylato ligand behaves as a neutral multidantate species. The mode of bonding and overall geometry of the complexes were determined through physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. These studies revealed octahedral geometry about metal centres and complexes of the general formula [Cr2(L)(N3)4]Cl2.H2O, Na2[Ag2(L)(N3)4].H2O and [M2(L
