Aim: This article aims to review the studies on the bond strength between dental ceramics and metal restoration in crowns and bridges using various techniques. Methodology: Electronic databases for scientific research, including PubMed, Cochrane, and Medline, were searched. The following keywords were used: dental ceramic, cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) alloy, shear bond strengths, Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technique, sandblasting technique, three-point bending test, hardness test, mode of failure, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and roughness test. Initial retrieval of 86 original papers from the worldwide databases was done after careful screening, including reviews of the literature on the different techniques used to enhance the shear bond strength between dental ceramics and metal. 23 papers were finally chosen and examined since they satisfied all inclusion and selection requirements. Results: This review shows that airborne particle abrasion with Al2O3 is mostly used for mechanical retention, among many other techniques used in metal surface treatment. On the other hand, the laser etching technique provides a promising outcome in increasing the bond strength of ceramic to metal substructure. Conclusion: The microstructures and mechanical properties of Co-Cr dental alloys were dependent on the fabrication techniques, such as Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technique, sandblasting technique, and the laser etching technique. The SLM specimens exhibited better microstructures and mechanical properties than those fabricated with CNC or CAST.
Thrust blocks and restraint joints are the two most popular methods of counteracting the thrust force that generated at pipe fittings (bends, Tee, wye, reducers, dead ends, etc…). Both systems perform the same function, which is to prevent the joints from separating from the pipes. The aim of the study is to review previous studies and scientific theories related to the study and design of thrust blocks and restraint joints to study the behavior of both systems under thrust force and to study the factors and variables that affect the behavior of these systems. The behavior of both systems must be studied because they cannot be abandoned, as each system has conditions whose use is more feasible, scientific, and economic

The aim of this study was to compare the effect of using Waterpik flosser as adjunct to tooth brushing than using the dental floss with the brushing. Materials and methods: A single blind, six weeks study included 45 subjects divided into three groups of 15 subjects at each group. Group B (brushing) was instructed to use the toothbrush only, group BF (brushing & flossing) was instructed to use dental floss and tooth brushing while group BW (brushing and Waterpik flosser) was instructed to use Water

This paper describes the effect of selected weight fractions (1, 2, 3, 4 & 5) % wt of nano(Alumina AL2O3, Zirconia ZrO2, Hydroxyapatite HA and Halloysite nanoClay) reinforcements on the biopolymer matrix (PMMA). Some tribology tests were used to evaluate the prepared system (impact strength, hardness surface, and wear rate) tests. Candida is the scientific name for yeast. It is a fungus that lives almost everywhere, including in human body. Usually, the immune system keeps yeast under control. If the individual is sick or taking antibiotics, it can multiply and cause an infection. Yeast infections affect different parts of the body in different ways including thrush is a yeast infection that causes white patches in oral cavity ,Candida esophagitis is thrush that spreads to esophagus, women can get vaginal yeast infections,(vaginitis) causing itchiness, pain and discharge, yeast infections of the skin cause itching and rashes ,yeast infections in bloodstream can be life-threatening . The current review article will concentrate on vaginal infection (vaginitis), project
