The aim of this study is to evaluate the seasonal variations of Mosul dam lake by measuring the temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO) and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) during the period from July 2018 to April 2019. Twenty two sites were selected within the studied lake. The obtained results were integrated with the geographical information system (GIS) using spatial images to create maps utilizing Arc map software. These maps were used to demonstrate the concentrations of the investigated parameters during the study period. The results show that all parameters were within the accepted levels, indicating the good status of the lake.

This study was conducted to investigate phytoplasma causing a virescence disease on Arabic jasmine Jasminum sambac based on microscopy and molecular approaches. Samples were collected from symptomatic Arabic jasmine plants grown in nurseries in Baghdad-Iraq. Specimens from infected plants were prepared and Dienes stained for light microscopy examination. Phytoplasma were detected in infected plants by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using P1/P7 and SecAfor1/SecArev3 Candidatus Phytoplasma specific primer sets. In this research, the concentration of radon gas has been calculated in the classrooms of schools in Diyala Governorate by using the nuclear track detector (CR-39), which was one of the organic solid-state nuclear detectors (SSNTDs).
