Abstract :In this study, amygdaline in Iraqi plant seeds was extracted and isolated from their seeds matrix using reflux procedure and subsequently identified and determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on reversed phase column of LC-18 (150mm x 4.6mm, 5?m )with actonitrile :water ( 50 : 50 ) as mobile phase at flow rate of ( 0.5 mL/min ) and detection at wavelength of 215 nm.The experimental results indicated that the linearity of calibration is in the range of 1.0-30.0 mg L-1amygdaline with the correlation coefficient of 0.9949.      Depending on the high resistance to antibiotics, five isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 7 isolates of Serratia  fonticola were selected out of 150 bacterial isolates from burn wards in Baghdad hospitals, which were later identified by VITEK2. Objective: To evaluate male patients complaining of
urethritis clinically according to the isolated organisms.
Method: A total of 100 male patients attending to of
Dermatological and Venereal private clinics for the period
April 2003 to November 2003 were included in the study.
Urethral swab was obtained from each male for culture and
direct immunofluorescence examination was done.
Demographic data was obtained, also.
