Background: With the increasing demand on esthetic orthodontic appliances, discoloration of clear elastomeric chains and modules remains an issue which concerns both orthodontics and patients. This in vitro study was conducted to evaluate the effect of exposing stretched clear elastomeric chains from six different companies (Ortho Technology, Ormco, Ortho Organizer, American Orthodontics, Opal and G&H companies) to three types of dietary media (tea, coffee and turmeric). By- products of corn starch industry were used to prepare media for propagation the lactic acid bacteria as a natural auxotroph. The by- products used were the corn steep water (S) and gluten extract (G) after a proper treatment to get them ready for media preparation. The results showed that it was possible to replace the peptone and meat extract by gluten extract in MRS medium. The growth was approximately similar to that obtained in standard MRS media. The objective of this work is to study the influence of end milling cutting process parameters, tool material and geometry on multi-response outputs for 4032 Al-alloy. This can be done by proposing an approach that combines Taguchi method with grey relational analysis. Three cutting parameters have been selected (spindle speed, feed rate and cut depth) with three levels for each parameter. IN this work, a titanium dental implant was modified by electro-polymerized of 4-allyl-2-methoxyphenol (Eugenol) using direct current lower than 3.5 volt. The modification of titanium dental implant was achieved to improve its corrosion resistant. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was employed to confirm the electro-polymerization of Eugenol to Poly Eugenol (PE) on pure titanium. Deposition of PE on titanium was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and was characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The surface morphology of polymeric film were examined through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Coated titanium by (PE) revealed a good corrosion protection efficiency even at temperature ranged (293-323)K in artificial saliva.
