The Role of Japan in the Reconstruction of Iraq 

The humid and warm conditions in greenhouses provide an excellent environment for pests’ living conditions, and therefore, they provide ideal medium for alien introductions. Molluscs are among the most significant pests that infest plastic covered greenhouses. To identify and report their mollusc species, 23 greenhouses in Iraq were surveyed between March 2023 and April 2024. Of these, 11 were found to be infested with snails. A total of 158 specimens were collected and morphologically identified to seven species: Monacha obstructa (L. Pfeiffer, 1842), Eobania vermiculata (O.F. Objective: To determine the prevalence of bullying among primary schools’ children with some associated factors, and resultant effects. Methodology: This cross-sectional study with analytic elements was carried out from February through April 2022. It included a sample of 410 students from six governmental primary schools from both sides of Baghdad city. A self-constructed questionnaire was used. The digital dermatoglyphics were studied in 120 females derived from northern region of Iraq (60 Arabs and 60 Kurds). Two kinds of analyses were perfomed : Quantitative and Qualtative. The unilateral and bilateral analyses for dermal ridge counts in each digital and the overall did not reveal any significant difference when t-test was used. A high correlation coefficients were revealed in this study between homologous and adjacent digits, moreover, significant differences were revealed between Arabian and Kurdish samples in both analyses when Fisher Z transform test was used, but the significant differences in the bilateral analysis exceed the ones in the unilateral. that the climate of Iraq ranges between extreme Continentality and very extreme

    The widespread house sparrow Passer domesticus biblicus has a close association with humans and  inhabits almost all ecosystems near human settlements in Iraq. It is exposed to different kinds of parasites in its habitats. Examining of house sparrow for the cestode parasites revealed that 25 specimens of 56 were infected with Raillietina echinobothrida. Intensity among infected male and female hosts with this cestode and its description  is provided and discussed. The present finding constitutes the first record for this parasite in house sparrow in Iraq.

The present work aims to study the treatment of oily wastewater by means of forward osmosis membrane bioreactor process. Side stream (external) configuration and submerged (internal) configuration of osmotic membrane bioreactor were performed and investigated.
