In this research work, a new type of concrete based on sulfur-melamine modification was introduced, and its various properties were studied. This new type of concrete was prepared based on the sulfur-melamine modification and various ingredients. The new sulfur-melamine modifier was fabricated, and its fabrication was confirmed by IR spectroscopy and TG analysis. The surface morphology resulted from this modifier was studied by SEM and EDS analysis. The components ratios in concrete, chemical and physical characteristics resulted from sulfur-melamine modifier, chemical and corrosion resistance of concrete, stability of concrete against water adsorption, stability of concrete against freezing, physical and mechanical properties and durability, modulus of elasticity, and thermal expansion coefficient of the studied sulfur concrete were investigated. The IR results confirmed the amino functional groups (attached melamine ring) and the formation of polymer sulfur chains. The sulfur-melamine modification thermic mass loss was one step. The mass loss processes of the modifier were endothermic processes. The obtained SEM results revealed that the sulfur-melamine modifier had a more porous structure, without any crystal forms. EDS analysis showed that the nitrogen atoms were accounted for 51.33% of total mass while the carbon was 30.94% of total mass. The stability of sulfur-melamine modifier-based concrete was very high in the various aggressive solutions. The low size of aggregates-based concrete had more density, i.e., 2417 kg\m3. The concrete density was decreased slowly with increase in the size of aggregate. The average deformation of studied concrete was (0.0030-0.0033), confirming that the deformation performance of concrete was better than the traditional concretes. The obtained results also confirmed that value of thermal expansion coefficient for sulfur-melamine modified concrete was 17.2×10-6\˚C.
This study aims to derive a general relation between line loads that acting on two-way slab system and the equivalent uniformly distributed loads. This relation will be so useful to structural designer that are used to working with a uniformly distributed load and enable them to use the traditional methods for analysis of two-way systems (e.g. Direct Design Method). Two types of slab systems, Slab System with Beams and Flat Slab Systems, have been considered in this study to include the effect of aspect ratio and type of slab on the proposed relation. Five aspect ratios, l2/l1 of 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0, have been considered for both types of two-way systems.

This research delves into the role of satirical television programs in shaping the image of Iraqi politicians. The research problem is summarized in the main question: How does satire featured in television programs influence the portrayal of Iraqi politicians? This research adopts a descriptive approach and employs a survey methodology. The primary data collection tool is a questionnaire, complemented by observation and measurement techniques. The study draws upon the framework of cultural cultivation theory as a guiding theoretical foundation. A total of 430 questionnaires were disseminated among respondents who regularly watch satirical programs, selected through a multi-stage random sampling procedure.

Show MoreThis study investigates the surgical and thermal effects on oral soft tissues produced by CO2 laser emitting at 10.6 micrometers with three different fluences 490.79, 1226.99 and 1840.4 J/cm2. These effects are specifically; incision depth, incision width and the tissue damage width and depth. The results showed that increasing the fluence and /or the number of beam passes increase the average depths of ablation. Moreover, increasing the fluence and the number of beam passes increase the adjacent tissue damage in width and depth.
