The present study was investigated the activity of aqueous extract from Cinnamomum cassia bark on the blood glucose levels in healthy and diabetic rats induced by Streptozotcin (STZ). In healthy rats the blood glucose levels were slightly decreased after six hoursof single oral administration with dose (25 mg/kg) of body wight, as well as four weeks after twice daily repeated oral administration of aqueous extract of Cinnamomum cassia bark.       The study included 200 samples were collected   from   children  under two   years included (50 samples from each of Cerebrospinal fluid, Blood, Stool and Urine) from, Central Children Hospital and Children's Protections Educational Hospital. Thirty pregnant albino mice with average body weight of 25-30gm and 8-14 weeks old were used to investigate the toxicity of the oral administration of anticancer methotrexate on kidneys after birth. Pregnant were received (single dose) of drug at different days of gestation and were divided into three groups (10mice / group), control groups were administered distilled water, the two remaining groups were administered by 2.5 and 7.5 mg/kg body weight of methotrexate. The changes in kidneys of newborns revealed significant (p<0.05) decrease in kidneys weights, kidneys lengths, pelvises lengths, and glomeruli diameters. The increase in concentration of methotrexate has increasing significant effect on kidneys of embryo and newborns.

The effect of chronic exposure to two different levels of cadmium chloride (CdCl2) 30 ppb and 40 ppb in drinking water for 12 weeks on thyroid function of mature male rabbits was studied.
