Momentum Ranking Function of Z-Numbers and its Application to Game Theory
...Show More Authors

After Zadeh introduced the concept of z-number scientists in various fields have shown keen interest in applying this concept in various applications. In applications of z-numbers, to compare two z-numbers, a ranking procedure is essential.  While a few ranking functions have been already proposed in the literature there is a need to evolve some more good ranking functions.  In this paper, a novel ranking function for z-numbers is proposed- "the Momentum Ranking Function"(MRF). Also, game theoretic problems where the payoff matrix elements are z-numbers are considered and the application of the momentum ranking function in such problems is demonstrated.

The Distribution of ABO blood groups among type 2 Diabetes mellitus patients with or without Chronic Microvascular Complications
...Show More Authors

The ABO blood group system is highly polymorphic, with more than 20 distinct sub-groups; study findings are usually related to ABO phenotype, but rarely to the ABO genotype and animal models are unsatisfactory because their antigen glycosylation structure is different from humans. Both the ABO and Rh blood group systems have been associated with a number of diseases, but this is more likely related to the presence or absence of these tissue antigens throughout the body and not directly or primarily related to their presence on RBCs. A total of fifty-two 52 patients without complication of DMII, two hundred sixteen 216 patients with complication of DMII and seventy-one 71 person as healthy control were included in the study. On the Performance of Metamaterial based Printed Circuit Antenna for Blood Glucose Level Sensing Applications: A Case Study
...Show More Authors

Due to the urgent need to develop technologies for continuous glucose monitoring in diabetes individuals, poten tial research has been applied by invoking the microwave tech niques. Therefore, this work presents a novel technique based on a single port microwave circuit, antenna structure, based on Metamaterial (MTM) transmission line defected patch for sensing the blood glucose level in noninvasive process. For that, the proposed antenna is invoked to measure the blood glu cose through the field leakages penetrated to the human blood through the skin. The proposed sensor is constructed from a closed loop connected to an interdigital capacitor to magnify the electric field fringing at the patch center. The proposed an tenna sensor i

The Anti-cancer Impact of Genetically Engineered Newcastle Disease Virus Expressing GFP Gene Against U87-MG Cell Line
...Show More Authors

A number of disorders characterized by aberrant cell proliferation are referred to as cancers. Cancer is a complicated group of mutagenic diseases that can move or infiltrate to other parts of the body. It develops through a multi-step process. The need for new therapeutic strategies is driven by malignancies resistance to conventional therapies. Use of the Newcastle disease virus as an oncolytic agent has advanced and expanded in immunocompetent carcinoma tumor models by utilizing reverse genetics techniques. Preclinical investigations have shown that recombinant NDV (rNDV-GFP), which expresses foreign genes, is proven to be effective in cancer treatment. Green fluorescent protein gene is usually used as an expression reporter for certa

Removal of Ciprofloxacin Antibiotic from Synthesized Aqueous Solution Using Three Different Metals Nanoparticles Synthesized Through the Green Method
...Show More Authors

This study investigates the possibility of removing ciprofloxacin (CIP) using three types of adsorbent based on green-prepared iron nanoparticles (Fe.NPs), copper nanoparticles (Cu. NPS), and silver nanoparticles (Ag. NPS) from synthesized aqueous solution. They were characterized using different analysis methods. According to the characterization findings, each prepared NPs has the shape of a sphere and with ranges in sizes from of 85, 47, and 32 nanometers and a surface area of 2.1913, 1.6562, and 1.2387 m2/g for Fe.NPs, Cu.NPs and Ag.NPs, respectively. The effects of various parameters such as pH, initial CIP concentration, temperature, NPs dosage, and time on CIP removal were investigated through batch experiments. The res

Study of opacity broadening in spectral lines for helium like ions in aluminum plasma which produced by laser
...Show More Authors

A theoretical analysis studied was performed to study the opacity broadening of spectral lines emitted from aluminum plasma produced by Nd-YLF laser. The plasma density was in the range 1028-1026 )) m-3 with length of plasma about ?300) m) , the opacity was studied as function of plasma density & principle quantum number. The results show that the opacity broadening increases as plasma density increases & decreases with the spacing between energy levels of emission spectral line.

Evaluation of the Ti6Al4V Alloy Plasma Nitride for Orthopedic Implants: in Vitro Biocompatibility Study in Simulated Body Fluid
...Show More Authors

In view of this work, plasma nitriding was executed on Ti-6Al-4V and the effect of nitriding by using glow discharge with 2 mbar of Ar+N2 gas on corrosion resistance with different nitriding time and studied. The structure properties and the external appearance for alloys were performed with x-ray diffraction and optical microscopic. The investigation of XRD indicates the Ti alloys are polycrystalline with a cubic type (bcc). When the external appearance of the surface indicates was of β+α structure which have been better technical properties on biomedical application. The biocompatibility investigation of nitride alloys in vitro medium containing human body fluid: we showed a layer of hydroxyapatite HAP which might

Employ Shrinkage Estimation Technique for the Reliability System in Stress-Strength Models: special case of Exponentiated Family Distribution
...Show More Authors

A reliability system of the multi-component stress-strength model R(s,k) will be considered in the present paper ,when the stress and strength are independent and non-identically distribution have the Exponentiated Family Distribution(FED) with the unknown  shape parameter α and known scale parameter λ  equal to two and parameter θ equal to three. Different estimation methods of R(s,k) were introduced corresponding to Maximum likelihood and Shrinkage estimators. Comparisons among the suggested estimators were prepared depending on simulation established on mean squared error (MSE) criteria.

The protective effect of iraqi Juniperus oxycedrus plant on acute kidney injury induced by lipopolysaccharide in mice model
...Show More Authors

Inflammatory control is essential to diminish injury and make renal injury treatment simpler. Proposed therapeutics have primarily targeted pro-inflammatory variables. Juniperus oxycedrus was frequently used to treat a variety of infectious disorders, hyperglycemia, obesity, TB, bronchitis, inflammation, and pneumonia. Juniperus oxycedrus twigs and leaves were defatted with n-hexane using Soxhlet apparatus then the residue of plant material dried and re-extracted sequentially by two different solvents Ethylacetate and methanol. The pro-inflammatory markers IL-1 and iNOS, as well as the potential kidney biomarker KIM-1, TNF-α, and transcription factor NF-KB were measured using the RealTime Quantitative qPCR method. The results showed that J

BIOCHEMICAL FEATURES of IRAQI PATIENTS INFECTED WITH HEPATITIS E VIRUS COMPARED WITH THOSE INFECTED WITH HEPATITIS A VIRUS
...Show More Authors

This study was designed to compare the effect of two types of viral hepatitis A and E (HAV
and HEV) on liver functions in Iraqi individuals by the measurement of biochemical changes
associated with hepatitis.
The study performed on 58 HEV and 66 HAV infected patients compared with 28 healthy
subjects. The measured biochemical tests include total serum bilirubin, serum transminases (ALT
and AST) alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT).
The study showed that adolescent and young adults (17-29) years, were mostly affected by
HEV while children (5-12) years were frequently affected by HAV. The severity of liver damage in
HEV patients was higher than HAV patients as a result of high serum transa
