In information security, fingerprint verification is one of the most common recent approaches for verifying human identity through a distinctive pattern. The verification process works by comparing a pair of fingerprint templates and identifying the similarity/matching among them. Several research studies have utilized different techniques for the matching process such as fuzzy vault and image filtering approaches. Yet, these approaches are still suffering from the imprecise articulation of the biometrics’ interesting patterns. The emergence of deep learning architectures such as the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has been extensively used for image processing and object detection tasks and showed an outstanding performance compared to traditional image filtering techniques. This paper aimed to utilize a specific CNN architecture known as AlexNet for the fingerprint-matching task. Using such an architecture, this study has extracted the significant features of the fingerprint image, generated a key based on such a biometric feature of the image, and stored it in a reference database. Then, using Cosine similarity and Hamming Distance measures, the testing fingerprints have been matched with a reference. Using the FVC2002 database, the proposed method showed a False Acceptance Rate (FAR) of 2.09% and a False Rejection Rate (FRR) of 2.81%. Comparing these results against other studies that utilized traditional approaches such as the Fuzzy Vault has demonstrated the efficacy of CNN in terms of fingerprint matching. It is also emphasizing the usefulness of using Cosine similarity and Hamming Distance in terms of matching.
This study has been done for testing the effectiveness and efficiency of probiotic in its ability to inhibit Aspergillus flavus , which secretes the aflatoxin B1 and compare it with materials that were approved to be effective in the inhibition of the growth of fungi and break down and reduction of mycotoxin. these are the filax substance and ozone gas. A laboratory experiment has been conducted to determine the isolates out of the fungus producing the aflatoxin B1.the isolate producing aflatoxin B1 has grown on the yellow corn seed. the probiotic was added along with the filax and they have been exposed to ozone gas and then they were stored from 30 days. A bio test was con conducted to knw the effects of biological toxin on the broiler me

The study aimed to determine the effect of using different proportions of chlorella algae in layer hen ration and its effect on the hen's productive performance and numbers of lactobacilli bacteria in the intestine. The experiment included 400 laying hens (ISA Brown) of 54 week old which were fed according to the standard requirements mentioned in the guide for this breed (ISA Brown layer management guide). The hens raised using a 3 stage cages system with five hens in

It is a blind simulation student, a dependency on others, and a weak spirit of creativity, innovation, and opinion. The opinions of educators and teachers almost agree on the reasons for students' weakness in learning the rules of Arabic, and that the reason lies in the way of teaching. Although the cause of preterm labor is often unknown, numerous etiological risk factors may be implicated. To identify the risk factors that lead to prematurity and assess the neonatal outcomes that preterm neonates may develop. Methods: This case-control study was conducted at AL-Elwiya Pediatric Teaching Hospital, Baghdad, Iraq, from the 1st of June to the 31st of December 2019. A non-randomized sample of 700 neonates admitted to the neonatal care unit was included in this study and divided into two groups of preterm full-term neonates as the experimental and control groups, respectively (n=350 each). Albino male mice (Mus musculs) were employed as a biological system and four parameters were performed in vivo; total leucocyte count, mitotic index, chromosomal aberrations and micronucleus formation. The plant extract was evaluated through three types of treatments. In the first, the extract was given alone orally. While the second and third treatment included two types of interactions with MMC; pre – and post – MMC treatments. All treatments were paralleled by negative and positive control
