Five derivatives of thiadiazole were prepared with aldehydes and alkyl halides, compoundA: 2-amino-5-thiol-1,3,4- thiadiazole, compound B :2-(o-hydroxybenzylidine)amino-5-thiol-1,3,4-thiadiazole, compoundC: 2(2-butan-lidine)amino-5-thiol-1,3,4-thiadiazole, compound E: 2- amino-5-(2-Propanylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazol) and compound F:2(o-chlorobenzylamino)-5-(2-propanyl thio)-1,3,4 thiadiazol. All prepared compounds were diagnosed by (IR) and (UV) Spectroscopy. All of those compounds were screened for their anti-microbial activity in vitro. The results show that most of the compounds A, B, C exhibited moderate to good activity against Gram-positive bacteria and the same compound exhibit low to moderate activity on most gram-negative bacteria under study. Finally, compound E and F had little or no effect organism.

Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Clopidogrel, antiplatelet drug, has been widely used for management of CAD. Arylesterase, the activity of Paraoxonase-1 (PON-1), is mainly contributed in the biotransformation of clopidogrel to its active thiol form. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of receiving clopidogrel drug on the arylesterase activities in CAD patients. An International Publisher for Academic and Scientific Journals The mucilage of white and black chia seeds were extracted and determining their contents of bioactive compounds such as tannins, glycosides, flavonoids, phenols, and studying their activity as anti-filamentary and anticancer. Results showed that tannins exist in white chia seeds with 35%while it is 38% in black seeds, flavonoids represent 0.98mg/ml in white chia seeds and 1.5 mg/ml for black seeds. Both kinds of seeds showed anti-filamentaryactivity, the inhibition ratio was 86.5% for white seeds and 97.3% for black seeds.
