This research aims to study the effect of heat on the efficiency of solar cells of neutrons ranging from card to these cells in the case of dark and light before and after irradiation using the neutron source as well as electrical properties have been studied
Ultra-High Temperature Materials (UHTMs) are at the base of entire aerospace industry; these high stable materials at temperatures exceeding 1600 °C are used to manage the heat shielding to protect vehicles and probes during the hypersonic flight through reentry trajectory against aerodynamic heating and reducing plasma surface interaction. Those materials are also recognized as Thermal Protection System Materials (TPSMs). The structural materials used during the high-temperature oxidizing environment are mainly limited to SiC, oxide ceramics, and composites. In addition to that, silicon-based ceramic has a maximum-use at 1700 °C approximately; as it is an active oxidation process o
This study includes the manufacture of four ternary alloys represented S60Se40-XPbX with weight ratios x = 0, 10, 20, and 30 by the melting point method. The components of each alloy were mixed separately, then placed in quartz ampoules and vacuumed out with a vacuum of roger that 10−4 Torr. The ampule was heated in two stages to avoid sudden dissipation and precipitation of selenium on the inner mass of the quartz tube. The ampoule was gradually heated and kept at 450°C for approximately 4 hours followed by 950°C for 10 hours.at a rate of 10 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the electric furnace
Background: Oral cancer is a highly lethal and disfiguring disease. Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity constitutes about 90% of all oral malignancies. The aims of the study was to achieve an epidemiological description of the oral squamous cell carcinoma in Iraq in general and in Iraqi governorates except Kurdistan region retrospectively during period 2001-2013 Materials and Methods: Data were collected from department of oral and maxillofacial pathology, college of dentistry, university of Baghdad, Nuclear medicine and radiotherapy hospital, Iraqi cancer registry center, Main hospitals in Baghdad and Iraqi governorates, Private labs. for histopathological examinations. The descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used
... Show MoreLiposome-mediated transfection of cancer cells provide a valuable experimental technique to study cellular gene expression and may also be adapted for gene therapy studies. However, the widely recognized advantage of liposome-mediated transfection is high efficiency. Therefore, this study were performed to optimize transfection techniques in human larynx carcinoma cell line Hep-2 using the commercial synthetic lipid TransFast™ Reagent and monitoring the expression efficiency by using the pSV-?-galactosidase Control Vector which encoded ?-galactosidase, maximum transfection efficiency were achieved with TransFast™ Reagent used at the Charge ratios of 2:1 and 0.5 µg DNA/ml, this is indicate that TransFast™ Reagent can be used as an eff
... Show MoreMany previous investigations have found quercetin to be a powerful antioxidant and antitumor flavonoid, but its poor bioavailability has limited its use. This current study investigated the effects of two newly synthesized Quercetin Schiff bases containing 2-amino thiadiazole-5-thiol (Q1), and its benzyl derivatives (Q2) on MCF-7 human breast cancer cells. Cell viability and apoptosis were assessed to determine the toxic effects of Q1 and Q2. Cytotoxicity valuation showed that both compounds inhibited MCF-7 cell growth, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity increased in a dose-dependent aspect compared to the control group. Comet assay results observed that Q1 and Q2 induce more serious DNA damage than the control (untreated cell

Worldwide, a wide range of tumor-targeted approaches are being developed to reduce side effects and boost the efficacy of cancer therapy. One strategy that shows promise is the use of metallic nanoparticles to increase the radio sensitization of the cancer cells while reducing or maintaining the normal tissue complication probability during radiation therapy. In this study, atmospheric plasma was created using argon gas to create Au NPs using the plasma jet scheme, and their ability to induce apoptosis as an anticancer mechanism was tested. Aqueous gold tetrachloride salts (HAuCl4·3H2O) ere used to produce gold nanopartic
... Show MoreWe investigated at the optical properties, structural makeup, and morphology of thin films of cadmium telluride (CdTe) with a thickness of 150 nm produced by thermal evaporation over glass. The X-ray diffraction study showed that the films had a crystalline composition, a cubic structure, and a preference for grain formation along the (111) crystallographic direction. The outcomes of the inquiry were used to determine these traits. With the use of thin films of CdTe that were doped with Ag at a concentration of 0.5%, the crystallization orientations of pure CdTe (23.58, 39.02, and 46.22) and CdTe:Ag were both determined by X-ray diffraction. orientations (23.72, 39.21, 46.40) For samples that were pure and those that were doped with
... Show MoreBreast cancer has become a common malignancy in most parts of the world. Vitex negundo has been used as a traditional remedy for many diseases. This study investigated the molecular mechanism of breast cancer prevention using breast cancer cell line MCF-7. In this study, an overview of the widely used Vitex negundo plant and its alcoholic, Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was used to assess the extract, cell cycle assay and apoptosis by high content screening assay. in GC-MS. The biologically active phytochemical components of the alcoholic extract of the plant were examined. A GC MS study showed that 27 chemical substances were present. Analysis of the MCF-7 cell life cycle revealed that the plant's alcoholic extract stoppe
